How can you make the Ajax Control ToolKit's controls to work in an ASP.Net Dynamic Data web site?

To my displeasure I cannot find VWD2005 which at one time would generate a complete web.config for Ajax so I downloaded and installed VWDE 2010 to a clean install of XP Pro.
I've created a new tab on the toolbar for the controls but after I select the Ajax dll to add the controls to the toolbar it grinds away and then goes poof and closes down the task leaving VWD look as if I had never even created the tab in the toolbar.
Any advice here?
i'm newbie to AJAX usage.
i'm using visual web developer 2008 express edition
i downloaded AjaxControlToolkit.Binary.NET35 from codeplex site.
i extracted the zip file.
I added the toolbox to visual web developer by adding a new tab naming it ajax kit.
added tools to it by choose item and selected AjaxControlToolkit.dll ,the one i unzipped.
AJAX tools appear in toolbox.Even after using script manager tool, when i drag one of the contols for example autocompleteextender,i get a circle with black diagonal line indicating i cant use the tool
Why is it so..
when i hard code the the controls in tags in source tab ,i dont get an error but i dont get the tool in design view...
the following lines are also present
<%@ Register assembly="System.Web.Extensions, Version=188.8.131.52, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" namespace="System.Web.UI" tagprefix="asp" %><%@ Register assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" tagprefix="ajaxToolkit" %>
Can anyone plz help me...
what the steps that I have to follow if I want to integrate the wizard control in my asp.net dynamic data
I just downloaded the April 12 release of ajax control toolkit. when I put the modal pop up extender in the page, I was getting ajax script 4.0 required errors. it turns out that I had different version.
How do I know which version is compatible. I had built the application in VS 2008 3.5 framework. The recommended download version was 3.5 zip file on codeplex.
Is it possible to change the captions language of HTMLEditor?
How can I do it?
Hi, I'm trying figure out how to make a control that can have controls nested inside it. I've made a jQuery tab browser class which uses a hidden field to remember which tab is selected and create the relevant client script to re-select it on postback...it works fine...
This is for web part development so all controls are created dynamically.
The problem is when I add a control to one of the tabs, the values set in that control disappear on postback..I understand there is a lot of information about user controls, viewstate and control state but nothing seems to give me access to those values...
I've boiled it right down to the basics and still can't get it to work unless the custom control has all its controls added in OnInit...which is bad news for me because I need to instantiate the browser, the use a 'AddTab' method to add tabs and controls to them, which occurs after the OnInit event and therefore I can't access the postback values
I moved my site to asp.net 4.0, and added ajax control toolkit 4.1.40412.0. Also on the page i added ToolkitScriptManager with attribute EnableCdn="true". But my site continues loading toolkit scripts from resources, not from CDN network. How to fix it?
