I have asked the question on the C# Express boards, but thought I might have better luck here...
Basically, I am writing a small Windows Forms app, with SQL CE as the backend. I had been using SQL CE 3.5 SP2, but couldnt move forward due to the lack of support for the identity column in the ADO.NET Entity Framework. This was supposedly fixed
in CE 4.0 with VS 2010 SP1, both of which I have installed. I also have SQL Server 2008 R2 Express installed.
However, when I try to create a new SQL CE DB in SQL Server Management Studio, the only option I get is 3.5. I thought you should also now see 4.0?
I have been looking at the following post: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlservercompact/archive/2011/03/15/sql-server-compact-4-0-tooling-support-in-visual-studio-2010-sp1-and-visual-web-developer-express-2010-sp1.aspx
I am very confused by what I need to do to get this to work.
