How to recover from mdf file (SQL Server 2000)

My database corrupted because when I was running an update query, there is a power failure. After the computer booted, I cannot open the database anymore, it just not responding. Then I stop the sql server service, and tried to rename the .mdf and .ldf. After that it worked normally, but I need the data from the corrupted mdf file, I tried to attach the database but it just hanged. I even tried to attach without the .ldf file but it didn't work either, so I concluded that the problem is with the mdf file.

Is there any way to recover my data ??

can any one tell me how to read the data's in the text file using sql server 2000 and 2008.

Restoring a SQL Server 2000 database having only the .mdf file


Hi all,

SQL Server 2000, I need to restore a database, I've only the .mdf file, note that the database was not gracefully detached, so the sp_attach_single_file_db fails. Is there any other way?

scripts file not found on server - 404


Fiddler is showing a 404 error when my published web application runs. the jquery.js file in
/scripts is highlighted in red by fiddler as not found. ( IIS log also shows the 404 error ).
I run the web app from visual studio, on local host - no problems. The publish is successful.
All the files are in the scripts folder of the web app on the server.

In the site.master I have:
<script src="../../Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Visual studio does not complain about this. ( which indicates the file is found. )

Oddly, when I fully qualify the path, VS says file not found, but after I publish and run, fiddler
shows the jquery file being found and sent to the browser.

when the <script> path is "../../Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.min.js", the fiddler error is
404: /Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.min.js .

when the <script> path is "/MvcApplication1/Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.min.js", fiddler shows the file
being sent to the browser from that /MvcApplication1/Scripts path.

Fax Services: Send Any Printable File From Your Program in Windows 2000


All versions of Windows 2000 have fax services built in, so sending faxes manually is as easy as setting fax options from the control panel. Faxes can also be sent programmatically in Windows 2000 using either COM Automation or the standard C API. The example in this article uses COM Automation with Visual Basic and MFC to programmatically manage faxing. The objects used for fax transmission, such as the FaxServer and FaxDoc objects, as well as their properties and methods, are explained. Because faxing of files you can't print can be problematic, this process is explained. Finally, this article implements a fax routing extension-a plug-in that exports standard functions and implements routing methods for processing received faxes.
