I have SQL Server 2008Express, SQL Server 2008, and SQL Server 2008 R2 installed on my computer (Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit running inside of VirtualBox), and need some help with the settings in Administrative Tools-> Services. In trying to figure
out what was causing the system to freeze up, I disabled most of the SQL Server related services. Now I'm trying to get them back to where they should be (Automatic, Automatic (Delayed Start), Manual, Disabled). So any information on which services
should be enabled (and what their settings should be) is greatly appreciated.
I have SQLEXPRESS, SQLSERVER, the various agents, browsers, full-text daemon, active directory (although this is a standalone computer on a Workgroup), and other SQL Server related services. One thing to note is that I have an application which either
requires SQLSERVEREXPRESS or the R2 edition (I'm not entirely sure which, as I just upgraded the application and it installed the R2 edition).
Thanks, and have a great day:)
Smile.. Someone out there cares deeply for you.
