The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'proc_UpdateVirusInfo'

Hi All,   SharePoint 2007 x64 w/SP1, SQL 2005 x64, ForeFront for SharePoint w/SP1, running on Windows Server 2003 x64 R2 w/SP2.   We originall setup this server using only a couple service accounts. That was a bad idea so a few weeks ago I went over everything and setup or service accounts according to Microsofts recommendations. (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263445.aspx)   I've gone over the requirements a dozen times and everything is set perfect.   I have two issues.   1. Randomly we have a SQL permission issue popping up, this abouts a couple times a day (some days none), the event log will fill about with anywhere from 15 to 800 of the same event.   Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: Windows SharePoint Services 3Event Category: Database Event ID: 5214Date:  3/11/2008Time:  1:28:30 PMUser:  N/AComputer: TRUMANDescription:Insufficient SQL database permissions for user 'PortalPool' in database 'SharePoint_AdminContent_45f0f48e-c1b1-463c-99e3-ea6648beaf37' on SQL Server instance 'Truman'. change row-groups: Hidden-expression of deleted group-object still interferes

Hallo,    I built a report with 23 Datasets. Each of them contained the same hierarchie of two row-groups. The visibility of the subgroup depended on the value of some report-parameters. Now I need to build the same report, only this time with a different rowgroup. I already included the Datafield for the rowgroup into each dataset, deleted all old row-groups and set up the new row-group for each dataset. I also deleted the old report-parameters. The problem is, I still get Error-messages like:       "The hidden-expression of the group-object 'group2' refers to a non-existant report-parameter xy." I checked all hidden-expressions of every single tablix and everywhere the hiddenproperty is correctly set to "visible". How can I make SSRS 2008 realise that the old hidden-expressions, which indeed did refer to the now deleted parameters, are no longer existant?   Any help on this would be much appreciated. SQL Server 2005 permissions error. The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object "xp_instance_reg

I have a SQL Server host running SQL 2005 9.00.4294 x86 Standard Edition running on Windows build 2195 SP4.  My client workstation is running only SQL Server 2005 workstaion components.   When a user of the host who has db_owner access attempts to view the properties of a table by right-clicking the table and then clicking Properties, the following error mesage is displayed:

"The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object "xp_instance_regread", database 'mssqlsystemresource', schema 'sys'

For security purposes, I do not want to grant execute on xp_instance_regread to these users. Does anyone know of a workaround that will allow members of db_owner to access table properties using the abovementioned method and does not require execute access to be granted?

Can't add item using client object model of sharepoint 2010 with read only permission to user.

I have already developed Silverlight application in SharePoint 2010 using client object model.

But I have one scenario that user can comment on the item, so there is a update operation come in picture for user, but user have read only permission to site.

So please help me resolved this problem.

We can use Run with elevated privileges method in SP object model. I think Silverlight client object model don’t support this method.

Is there any alternative workaround to solve this problem?

How to check who is the person that change the list permission or the list item permission?

Does SharePoint out of the box has any reports that report the change of permission to list/list item?

User A change the permission of List Item A by adding a new user
User B change the permission of List Item A by removing a user

Thank in advance.

Change Control - Who changed this object?

We have a team of DBAs. A maintenance plan was changed last week, we can see
a new modified date, but who made the change?
In the wider question - is it possible to log which users are making changes
to objects in SQL server 2005?

Can't change print job owner with SetJob()

I’m developing a program that must be able to submit a print job and change the Owner of the job before it goes into the spooler. The problem is that the username don’t change when the print job is submitted. I’m running the program as the administrator account.

My code is working because if I try to change another field under JOB_INFO_2 structure like pNotifyName it does work. I also tested my program on a Windows XP SP3 machine and yes, the owner changes.

In the manual for the SetJob() function is says:
“The following members of a JOB_INFO_1, JOB_INFO_2, or JOB_INFO_4 structure are ignored on a call to SetJob: JobId, pPrinterName, pMachineName, pUserName, pDrivername, Size, Submitted, Time, and TotalPages.”. This is strange because it used to work in Windows XP.

If this is true that I can’t change the Owners username, if so how can I do it  ?

Edit: It doesnt work on Windows 2008 Server either

The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'sp_start_job', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'.

I am getting the following error when I execute an SSRS report.

The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'sp_start_job', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'.

The report is executing a stored proc. Which in turn is running an Agent Job.

When I run this report through BIDS it works fine. It is only when I run it though Report Manager I get a problem.

Can anybody help?
