Yesterday I started to get the error while running SSIS package in deevelopment environment. It was working day before with no issue. I tried to change connection provider types, tried to use connection in Data Sources, played with connection parameters in advanced section, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. I tried to run package on development environment from other developer's PC, tried to create brand new package with one SQL task, tried running package on the server from BIDS, bot nothing works. The only thing that worked was changing type of connection from SQL Authentication to windows while running on server. This is not an option, though per company policy.

Can anybody help?

Implementing Transaction in SSIS Package - [Execute SQL Task] Error: Failed to acquire connection "<

I have a simple SSIS package with three "Execute SQL Tasks". I am using ADO.Net Connection to execute SPs on a DB server. When I execute this package It works fine. So far so good. Now, I need to implement transation on this package. And problem starts now onwards. When I try to execute package after setting TransationOption = Required for the Sequence container which contains all the tasks, I get following error. [Execute SQL Task] Error: Failed to acquire connection "NYCDB0008.Export". Connection may not be configured correctly or you may not have the right permissions on this connection. "NYCDB0008.Export" is the name of the ADO.Net connection. I have been hunting for any solution but all in vain. I have tried changing all DTC settings on the dev as well as Database server. Please respond if anyone has any solution. Thanks! Anand

SSIS failed to acquire connection

I have a couple different SSIS packages that are running on server A and connecting to server B that are receiving the following error messages: "Failed to acquire connection "ServerB". Connection may not be configured correctly or you may not have the right permissions on this connection."  I am getting this with on OLEDB and ADO.Net connections.  The interesting things is, I get these errors only part of the time.  I am running these packages several hundred times a day.  I am only getting this error 5-10 times a day, around < 5% of the time.  I am running SQL Server 2008 SP1 Enterprise Edition x64.  I have reduced the max server memory a couple times to ensure SSIS has enough memory to operate, but I still seem to get the same error.  There doesn't seem to be a consistent time of day this happens either.  I'm having trouble trying to resolve this, any help is appreciated.

thanks,

CK

I'm getting an intermittant error:

I am creating an application for bulk mailing. Its on my subdomain.

The functionality i require here is I need to copy an html file located in different subdomains on my production server to my bulk mailing application.

I am using HttpWebRequest for the purpose where I take the url of the page into a text box and create a HttpWebrRequest.

The code is as simple as follows.

HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest) WebRequest.Create("http://mydomainorsubdomain.com/dir1/page.html");

and this is working fine on my local development environment that is in VS2010

but when i put code to production server it is throwing following error.

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control.  I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control.  I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly.  I am getting an error message. Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file?  Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?  I am getting the following error message: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. I really don't get it. But that fixed now.

MS SQL Server on WIN7 connection from PDF file created on LC ES2 - failed

So I created a PDF from in Adoble LifeCycle ES2, chose the right DSN and made sure the connections worked to the MS SQL server. SQL server was up and running and I couild log in. In the form, I was able to see and use all of the tables and fields to populate the forms just fine, saved it.

Issue: When launching the form, I get a 'Connection from Source (name) failed because the environment is not trusted'. And it does this for every connection. I tried several different DSN methods and while some connect in the Adobe form creation and I see the tables created in SQL Server, I cannot link to them to update. Funny part is, the data in the SQL database already there, does populate the form.

Am I missing something obvious?

SharePoint 2010 and Reporting Services 2008 R2 Integration Fail - Failed to establish connection wit

We have installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition on a virtual server (C-SQL) and SharePoint Server 2010 on another virtual server (C-SPOINT), with the SQL Backend of the SharePoint database residing on C-SQL. This worked fine.

SQL Server was installed with the domain administrator account and SharePoint with an account called 'visi' that has domain administrator privileges.

SSRS on C-SQL was initially installed as a native database. I changed this to a SharePoint integrated database with all authentications done as the visi user. Report server url was set to the normal http://C-SQL:80/ReportServer/.

On the SharePoint central administration site under General Application Settings -> Reporting Services Integration I filled in the details as required:

I have deployed my packages into Sql Server and I am using Configuration File. As my Data Source is Excel, I have changed the connection string during deployment with Server Path. But I am getting the following errors. Actually the File Exist in Path. May I know What is cause of the issue? Do I need to give any permission to execute the package.

Cannot create a connection to data source ... Login failed for user: BUT not for all reports!

SQL Server 2008 using Report Builder v2.0  (Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version 10.0.2531.0)

We have several reporting service apps with many reports in each one. There is a set of 4 reports that all report on similar info (but grouped differently) that can be run by me and other network administrators but not any "regular" users. On these reports only, they are getting "Cannot create a connection to data source ... Login failed for user...". As I've said there are other reports that regular users can run just fine!? ALL reports use the same Shared Connection Data Source on the server that is set up as Windows Integrated Security. The Data Source's Security allows Domain Users to browse.

I've uploaded a test report to SSRS whos SQL is "SELECT 'test' as testField" and that's it: and is connected to this same Data Source and users still get the Login Failed error... even tried creating and using a new Data Source that points to the same SQL Server DB to no avail. Examining the rdl's XML doesn't reveal anything either.

Reporting Server is a different machine than the SQL Server DB holding the data.

The only clue is that working reports were created a year before now.

Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

I have been using my workstation on a Windows 2000 SQL Server network for several weeks without any issues. I am using Activant Prophet 21 accounting software along with MS Office 2010 Professional on a Windows 7 Ultimate platform. I recently upgraded to the new Windows Live. While working with Access today, I suddenly lost connection to the server (also my internet server). I received the following message:

    Unable to connect
    SQLSTATE = 42000
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

    Potential Reasons:

    1. Invalid User Name

    2. Invalid Password

    3. Invalid Server Name

    4. Invalid Database Name

     Any suggestions?

P.S. I am able to access the SQL Server using my user name from a different (Window XP) workstation (i.e. database functions and internet access)

    Sometimes Connection Failed

    Dear All,

When I execute a SSIS in SQL 2005 SP2 in Windows 2003 server,  it sometimes return the following error.

Description: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005.
An OLE DB record is available.  Source: "Microsoft SQL Native Client"  Hresult: 0x80004005  Description: "Login timeout expired".
An OLE DB record is available.  Source: "Microsoft SQL Native Client"  Hresult: 0x80004005  Description: "An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.".
An OLE DB record is available.  Source: "Microsoft SQL Native Client"  Hresult: 0x80004005  Description: "Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [53]. ".

It is strange that the problem does not happen when I re-run the SSIS. Is it due to some TCP/IP issue?

I found some article the command "Netsh int ip set chimney DISABLED" may solve this problem. Is it true?

    Thanks.
