I was getting an error on deployment/install about crystaldecisions.window.forms

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 10, 2011    Points: 0   Category :WPF

I was building a Crystal Report viewer, and followed the 1 step setup, and when i put it on a target computer and tried to install, i would get an error that say:

CrystalDecisions.Window.Form Version 13._____  to be installed in Global Assembly Cache (GAC)

I was first thinking there would need to be references to it.  I was thinking that this element was a driver which is uninstalled on the computers.  I figured that the install wouldve taken care of that and installed everything as needed.

What do i do to go about fixing this so i can deploy this to computers without having to install VisualStudios to do it.  (as it seems that on 2 test computers, it was shown that it will run fine, given a previous installation of VisualStudios 2010).

Running on 64bit Windows 7 machine.

Windows Forms applications solve many of the problems inherent in building Web applications the old fashioned way?with HTML. To demonstrate the use of Windows Forms over the Web, the author takes his existing app, Wahoo!, and ports it to Windows Forms. deployment error on x64 when compiled as x64

I have a service application that I compile as x86, x64, and any CPU.  It installs correctly on x86 using either x86 or any cpu.  It installs correctly on x64 if I compile as x86 or any CPU but if I include the wrong DLL the any CPU version crashes so I have to be careful where the any CPU version is installed.  If I compile the x64 it gives me a BadimageForamtException during install. I would prefer to only have the two installs x64 and x86 which limits the odd errors when using the any CPU version but I need to resolve the BadimageForamtException first. I know the problem is more than likely one of the related DLL is 32 bit only my problem is finding it.  Is there a quick way of determining if a DLL is 32 or 64 bit?  It would be nice if this detail was displayed in the list of properties in VS when you click on the references. Infopath form and forms library error

I've created an InfoPath 2010 form and associated it with a forms library on a SharePoint site. When I go to the library and choose "Add document" the form opens up to be filled out by the user. When the form is filled out, and the user tries to submit, they get an error saying that I need to configure SharePoint to allow cross-domain data access for user form templates that use connection settings in a data connection file and store a UDC file in the same site collection as the form. So I've enabled cross-domain data access and I've already created a Data Collection Library for Forms in the Site that is approved. What am I missing?  Why am I still getting the error?

Office 2010 Web Applications Install Error

We have a SharePoint 2010 Server setup in a farm configuration with a SQL 2008R2 clustered back-end that we are attempting to install Office Web Applications on.  We are following the technet article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff431687.aspx#bkmk_ins_exis_farm.  When we attempt to install the Office Web Applications on the SharePoint 2010 server (logged in as a member of the Administrators/farm admins) the progress bar completes and then displays the error "Microsoft Office Web Apps encountered an error during setup".  Looking through the Wac Server Setup.log file that setup generates doesn't yield much or any clues as to what is failing (it's lengthy and appears to just be detailing applications of a variety of languages installing and then rolling back).  The event logs are also filled with messages about the various Web Apps installing in a variety of languages and then rolling back when setup fails.  The only MsiInstaller event in the event logs that looks of any consequence is: "Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Microsoft Office Web Apps Application Server Components. Product Version: 14.0.4763.1000. Product Language: 0. Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation. Installation success or error status: 1603." Does anyone have any experience with this issue or any suggestions/guidance?

Parent window does not get reloaded - Permission denied error

Hi, When a button from a web form (say parent) is clicked I am opening another form(say child). And once the child completes its processing, it has to reload the parent form and close itself. For this I am calling the below javascript in the child form: function CloseMe() {     window.opener.location.reload(true);    self.close();    } But when the browser tries to execute this javascript code, it fails and throws Permission denied error. Here, the parent and child forms are from different domains. Please throw somelight on this. Thanks!
