Why does .exe work manually but not via script ? (CLR20r3 event id)

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 10, 2011    Points: 0   Category :WPF

Hi there,

I've got a strange  error with .exe build with .Net Framework.

A colleague (at the moment on holidays) write and build some .exe.

When I launch them manually, it works perfectly but when I want to launch them via a script (I tried with PowerShell and Perl scripts) it doesn't work.

I tried with the Schedule Tasks and it was the same result.

I've got the following error (translated from French) :

<Exe_Name> has stop working

Error details :

Event Type: CLR20r3

P1: program.exe

P3: 4d8b6868

P4: mscorlib

P6: 4bebe8e2

P7: 349e

P8: 1f7

P9: System.UnauthorizedAccess

System version : 6.1.7600.

Moreover, on the server Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile and Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended are setup.

I read some articles about this error code but I don't find the solution because nobody had the same problem.

Does the exe need to be launch with options or arguments ?

Nobody know how to fix the problem ?

Thanks in advance.

C++ at Work: Event Programming, Part 2

Last month I answered a question about implementing native events in C++ (see C++ At Work: Event Programming). I discussed events in general and showed how to use an interface to define event handlers for your class that clients must implement to handle events.

file upload in Create User Wizard Created User event with UpdatePanel Tag wont work?

In my Create User Wizard1 Created User Wizard Event, I am collecting extra information from text boxes and allowing

the user to uplad a file.

I have put the Submit button within an Update Panel Tag but since I have done this it does not work.

Is there a way round it. In this situation would you use a trigger.?

How to get Click event to work with checkbox

I am new to ASP.Net and I'm having trouble figuring out what needs to be where in my code.  I have a webform with 2 listboxes and 2 checkboxes... When I check checkbox1 I want listbox1 to be disabled and checkbox2 to be disabled.  Similarly, when I check checkbox2 I want listbox2 to be disabled and checkbox1 to be disabled.  The code does not show any errors; however, when I run the Page everything appears as it is supposed to but when I check the boxes, nothing happens.  What am I missing that will link the code on the .aspx.vb page to the objects on the .aspx page and make them work together?

Here is my code for Page1.aspx.vb:

Public Class LCPage1
    Inherits System.Web.UI.Page

Getting AppDomain.UnhandledException event to work in a Windows Service

Nearly every forum thread I have found on "catching unhandled exceptions in a service" seems to end up where I am.  The supposed solution is the use of the AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException event.  But it doesn't work for someone, who then asks why and gets no answer.  Same for me; I can't get the event to happen.  It's as if I need the ServiceProcess version of Application.SetUnhandledExceptionMode(), which doesn't exist. For diagnosing this, I start a timer in a child object of the service and then throw an exception in the timer event handler.  Simple enough to simulate the real situation.  I have tried subscribing to the UnhandledException event in at least a half dozen locations throughout the service, from the Program that runs ServiceBase.Run() to the constructor of the object that owns the Timer, but it never catches this exception. The VS debugger recognizes that the forced exception is unhandled and takes me to the place where is thrown, letting me know it is an unhandled exception. Why doesn't my handler catch it?  Running without the debugger, the exception throws, the timer thread crashes, the service continues merrily along, and nothing gets logged anywhere.  That is NOT the result I need.  What are the people for whom this works doing that I am not doing? How can I at least get the offe

How can I avoid entering Output columns manually (with their data types) in the Script Transformatio

I created a wrapper to a WCF web service that is returning many datasets with hundreds of columns.  The destination database schema matches the source schema exactly.  When i make the connection on a ADO.NET destination object to my database it auto-generates my list of columns.  I understand that the script component could output anything so it can't autogenerate at this point, but is there any way to copy and paste the Column definitions from somwhere else and paste them in?  I'd like to avoid spending hours entering all these manually.

javascript script works with alert() and does not fully work without it

Im facing the following problem i have a gridview that i insert an OnClick event to each row in order to be able to click on a row and selecting that row (change the color of the selected row e.tc) my javascript works fine when i have an alert when i remove the alert

then i see the color of the row changing as i click it but then when i move the mouse the color changes back to normal i still get the id of the row since i have a textbox where i put the id content of the e.row.cell[0] value .

I searched the web and i found out that its something to do with ajax and asychronous calls here is the code if the alert is enabled everything works fine this function is called from .c#

protected void GrdEntal_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)
            if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow)

                e.Row.Attributes.Add("onclick", "javascript:getID('" + e.Row.Cells[0].Text + "', '" + e.Row.ClientID + "', '

Why does my event handler need 2 button clicks to work?

I've created a Visual WebPart in 2010 with two buttons.

One works as it should (it updates a database and puts a success string in a label) with no problems

One gets a dataset and populates some labels and textboxes (using a Page.DataBind).

With this button, I need to click it twice (not exactly a double click) - once, let it post back and then click again

If I copy the exact markup and code to a test ASPX project, it all works perfectly as it should.

I've tried both a DataSet and a DataReader - code to populate controls is like the following:

Then, after all, I follow by a Page.DataBind
Within reader.read:
lblSerialNumber.Text = myReader["Serial Number"].ToString();

Does anyone know what could cause this?
