Workflow Foundation 4 freezing always at the same stage on Load Testing

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 10, 2011    Points: 0   Category :JQuery
I have a rather simple worflow hosted on AppFabric. I call it through a WCF endpoint using netTcpBinding, and it calls 2 WCF methods, also via netTcpBinding, hosted on the same server also on AppFabric. I can load test both of the WCF methods being called by the workflow simultaneously without any problems. However, when I start Load Testing the workflow, after a few seconds, when I'm around 10 simultaneous users, the WorkFlows locks up completely, and I'm unable to find out why. All clients starts raising Open Connection timeouts.
The problem is not locking on the SQL Server database, because I monitor it, and it's all go. All tables involved are lock free. I think the problem might be on MSTSC, since I start a transaction scope on the workflow, but how could I detect the problem there? The dashboard on dcomcnfg really doesn't help at all.
How can I find out where's the problem? What could be the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

WF How-To: Building State Machines with Windows Workflow Foundation

State Machine workflows represent a different way of visualizing program logic. Rather than flowing from activity to activity like sequential workflows, State Machines transition from state to state. Learn about uses for State machines and see how to design and build a State Machine workflow with Windows Workflow Foundation.

Cutting Edge: Windows Workflow Foundation, Part 2

In last month's column, I presented a helpdesk workflow sample that focused on Windows® Forms client applications. This month I'll discuss ASP. NET workflow applications and the ability to expose a workflow as a Web service and invoke a Web service from a workflow.

Scale: Real-World Load Testing Tips to Avoid Bottlenecks When Your Web App Goes Live

Load testing should be part and parcel of every Web development effort, and it should be performed early in the process. However, if you think you can load test using your development environment, you're going to have some surprises when you go live. In this article, the authors outline the process of planning your load testing effort, considering which machines to use, how many users to simulate, which tools are right for you, and how to interpret your results.

Load testing the report server

Hello, I want to do load testing on report server in terms of number of users, but I do not have VSTS to use the load test tool available in it. Is there any other method to do this? Also, Is opening multiple instances of report manager window and running report from each of them is equivalent to having multiple users? Regards.

Hosted Designer fails to load workflow xaml that has InArguments with default values (xaml saved by

I have hosted the designer in our app. Using the hosted designer, workflows are saved as xaml to a database. When an end user wishes to edit a workflow the xaml is downloaded to a file and loaded into the designer via the .xaml file. The user can also associate assemblies with the workflow and there is a mechanism which makes sure that these assemblies are loaded into the appdomain and available. The problem we are hitting occurs when the top level activity (Sequence) has InArgument with default value. I create a simple Sequence, add InArguments (type of Int32 and String)  and set some default values. I save the workflow xaml to the database and close down the designer. When I wish to edit the workflow and try to load I get the following errors Could not find member '{clr-namespace:}_e905.argument3'. Could not find member '{clr-namespace:}_e905.argument1'. suggesting that some assembly/namespace missing. Here is the xaml I try to load: <Activity mc:Ignorable="sap" x:Class="{x:Null}" this:_e905.argument3="99" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/netfx/2009/xaml/activities" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:mva="clr-namespace:Microsoft.VisualBasic.Activities;assembly=System.Activities" xmlns:s="clr-namespace:System;assembly=mscorl

unable to load workflow actions from the server.

When I try to create a workflow in SPD for my teamsite (for which I have full control) I get the above error message. I have read many posts on this topic but am not conviced that what I usually see about the actions not loading applies to my case beacusewe have a developer logging in remotely that is able to create a workflow in the same site using SPD.  I have .net 3.5 framework, I have full control permissions, and the wss.actions file is not bad in that it is obviously loading for the remote developer, what else could be causing this error? I find no error messages in the SharePoint logs nor the application logs although the sharepoint logs are throttled back.

What are potential risks we might face while testing in sharepoint foundation 2010 what we developed

We have developed project in  WSS 3.0  now planning  to migrate in sharepoint foundation 2010. we have use application page . custom page  and  costom page customize  by sharepoint designer  2007, custom webpart ,feature, workflow  etc . i want to know that  all part of project will migrate  successfully  or  we need to do extar in sharepoint 2010.  i am  new in sharepoint    Waiting for your reply. thanks in advance

Unable to load External list in Sharepoint Foundation - error due to trial period expired

I've created an external content type and external list on Sharepoint Foundation. Everything is OK when creating and viewing these items in create mode in sharepoint designer. When trying to view the external list in the browser I get error message "Unable to display this Web Part..." When I opened the same list in the mobile view url I get a more descriptive error message: "The shim execution failed unexpectedly - The trial period for this product has expired.." I have read and followed the instruction related to this thread concerning expired trial period bug, and iisreseted the server after change but I still can't display the list. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010setup/thread/644ab342-4eaa-468c-95c1-f345a4f65f26#644ab342-4eaa-468c-95c1-f345a4f65f26 Any ideas anyone??
