I am finishing up an SBS 2011 migration from SBS 2003. The migration of Sharepoint went fine except I am unable to configure the new fax server to store faxes in the existing (or even a new) document library. There is no "Store in document library"
option in the Incoming method's section of the Fax Service Manager.
Additionally, when I try to migrate the Fax data in the SBS migration wizard, I get the following error....
An error occurred while migrating fax data
The following error occurred: Access is denied. (Exception From HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)). See the log file for details.
Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this issue w/ the missing document store option in fax settings, or the problem w/ not being able to migrate fax data? I know some of these topic might be a bit outside the scope of Sharepoint issues, but
I'm not sure where else to post.
Additionally, the end goal is for users to be able to go to a library page that lists all their faxes. The faxes are currently stored in a directory on the server, so if anyone knows of a way for a Sharepoint page to dynamically show the contents of
a directory, that would be great workaround.
