We recently migrated a SharePoint site (PWA to be exact) from MOSS to SharePoint 2010. Short story is that when someone clicks on their "My Settings" while in the migrated site collection, their Picture is a red X.
Here are the details...
In the MOSS farm where the site collection came from, we had configured user profile pictures to pull from a document library. The mapping was done through an extended attribute in AD and mapped to the user profile picture field in the SSP. The
red X in the now migrated 2010 site collection is referencing that old document library on the old farm which doesn't exist anymore. Hence the red X.
I have tried adding a new profile picture for users through the Profile Service application, and that works for their My Sites. But in the migrated site collection it doesn't update, it still think the Picture should be coming from that long-gone document
Does this make sense? Help?
