WSS3.0 sp2 server with client running Excel 2003 sp3
We have a list based on a calender with just over 2000 items. There are multiple views for this list. When we try to export to spreadsheet it works fine on most views but on one particular view we only get the column headings appearing in the spreadsheet.
The view in question is configured for sorting and grouping on the same column - a date column as it happens.
Changing the column used to either sort or group results in export to spreadsheet working fine so it appears to be using the same column to both sort and group that is causing the problem.
If we try to create a similar view (i.e. using the same column for sort and group) on a different list (also based on a calender) then the export works fine.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
