Has anyone been able to successfully launch "My Links" in a new window?

If someone could point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.  Do I need to edit the masterpage, and if so, which one?  Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Wish to launch any program and keep it confined to my program's window

I would like to divide the screen into three columns: Left 25%, Middle 50%, Right 25%. I would then like to launch programs such as IE in the middle portion and have it stay confined to this area. Is this possible? For example: Is there a version of the exec() functions that allows such a behavior? Or is it possible to somehow "trick" programs I launch into believing the screen consists of only that middle area? Thanks in advance.

Launch window forms app from windows service

I have a windows forms app that is used to manage settings for a windows service. When the service starts I want to launch the forms app. I'm using Process.Start("myWindowsApp") and I can see the app running in the task manager processes but the windows aren't displayed. My guess is that it's because the service is running under the localsystem account but what do I need to do to make the windows forms app work properly? SteveR

What must I do to make FrmMainMenu the initial form to lauch. Which provide menu options for the user to select and load other specific FORM.

Launch CMD File From ASPX Page

My organization uses a CMD file to install updated files for a major enterprise application. Currently, we send out an email to users with a link to the file and instructions to run it, BUT inevitably users don't update their machines until their in field and try to start the app.

We're now liking the idea of using an ASPX page to prompt the users to run the updates and to capture the fact that the updates have been run. I realize that we can't capture the success or failure of the update. But we'd like to capture the user accessed the page.

Is it possible to embed into the markup for the page a link to the file on the local intranet that the users can click on to run the file?

The user accessing the page would capture that they did just that. We'd deal with wether or not the update was actually installed or if it failed later with them directly.

C++ Q&A: Window Destruction in the .NET Framework

If a window is destroyed, does the .NET Framework immediately destroy the corresponding Form, or does it wait until a garbage collection to do this? How can you release my resources as soon as the window is destroyed? This month Paul DiLascia gives you the answers.
