My web application has user control which uses third party controls called Devexpress controls. The user control is a menu and is part of the Master page. It is placed there because this needs to be available in all the pages. My user controls raises a even on item clicked. Now, My question is that Is there any way to know that the event has occurred in page_load of the current page in which I am in?
I have a listview. When I click a "Print" button It should be print only listview items (current page & all pages).

many thanks in advance.
i have a page with datalist and more label
and i have an input text and a html button in my page.
I am writing a class (outside of the deafult page webform) and it needs access to a mschart. The chart is called "Chart1".
I discovered on other forums that in order for a class to access the webform control, you do the following:
System.Web.UI.Page page = (System.Web.UI.Page)System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Handler;
Chart Chart1 = (Chart)page.FindControl("Chart1");
But can someone tell me what does the first line do and why does it work? What is it trying to do? Why is it setting the context.current.handler to page? and why does it need to be cast to a page?
Secondly, why can't I create the page object by referencing the page class name, which is _Default in this case? (public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page)
I have this issue that CQWP is rendring items that it should not render. I test this with a read-only user, that should NOT see draft pages or pages with different permissions. But the read-only user do see the items, but when I click on the link I get access
denied. This access denied is correct, but why does the page items appear in the CQWP at all?
1) I use OOTB CQWP (inherits from ContentByQueryWebPart in my .webpart file) : "<type name="Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing.WebControls.ContentByQueryWebPart ....." and I have my custom xsl to get the look and feel I need
2) The issue with page items showing when status = drafts only appear when using the PublishingExpirationDate field. When I try creating new pages and give them status draft by using "check in to share draft" (logged on as an contributer/approver
user), this item wil NOT appear in the CQWP for the read-only user. When I change a pages' status from approved to draft, this item will still be shown in the CQWP, but this will point correctly to the published version. But after the pages'
expired date (PublishingExpirationDate) is expired, the page gets status "draft" (handeled by a timer job I guess), and this page item will still be rendered in the CQWP, but sending the read-only user to an access-
Hi i have the SQLite data table which i have coverted to an xml page. for this xml page i'm using xslt to display page. in this xslt page i have a table similar to that Sqlite table but in each <td></td> i have inserted a text box so that it
can be editable and updatable like
<td> <input id="TextBoxlocalMarkup" type="text" class="text1" disabled="disabled"></input> </td>
<td> <input id="TextBoxLocalSurcharge" type="text" class="text1" disabled="disabled"/> </td>
i want to display the values in these text boxes... How can i do that in xslt for-each loop
I am building in error-logging into my site, and want to be able to get hold of the current page name that the error occurred in, as well as the specific subroutine or function, to then pass to a VB.NET function. Is there anyway to get hold of this information without hard-coding the names manually?
Dim strCurrentPageName = ???
Dim strCurrentRoutine = ???
Nutshell: App has the ability to show same page with different settings at the same time, and the session state is too broad for that. I need to have a set of states, one for each page.
My web page can display a scorecard that allows user to view or change scores for one or more possible sports teams (I changed actual business requirements to keep problem simple). For example, Team 1 can have positive score for some aspects of a game and negative for other aspects of a game. This page can show one or more teams side by side for comparison. The ability to add teams to the view is called filtering. There can be more than one view in a browser's tabs or new windows.
Here are my problems:
1. If the user presses Browser Refresh, they lose all current filters unless I use Session or TempData. Using Form Post does not work here.
2. However, solution 1 doesn't work for multiple pages where the user wants to bring up 2 different views of the same page (for example, page 1 has Teams 1 and 2, and Page 2 has Teams 3 and 4). They cannot do this using Session or TempData. This only works if I pass the current filters to the controller via a Post Form Data data or in the Url.
3. The use of a url won't work because the data that needs to pass to the controller sometimes exceeds 500 characters.
I have googled this to no
I've created a custom content type and set a xap as edit form and new form.
this edit/new form of course gets open in the classic SharePoint Dialog.
the problem I have is that the ClientContext.Current is null in this context (Silverlight in Dialog)
I get a context when I host this xap in the Silverligth Web Part
what's wrong ?
Need some quick help . Thanks in advance. I am designing a report (sql server reporting services 2005) wherein i have to change the Border style based if it is the Last line/rownumber/record on the current page . I am not sure how to programmatically determine
the last line. Any help is highly appreciated.
The "Current View" drop down is not dropping down anymore when on the list library ribbon with a custom master page applied. Of course, it does work fine with v4.master. I would list all the custom master page changes however they are numerous. So I am looking
to see if there are any ribbon experts that can give me things to at least look for. I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
