I have a custom sharepoint list that will be used to track the results of a weekly report. Part of the list involves two columns that show 1) Previous Weeks Total, 2) Current Weeks Total.
Each week the user runs their report and inputs the data into the sharepoint list. But some data should just roll forward without having to be manually input each week. The number shown under "Current Weeks Total" for the previous week is now the "Previous
Weeks Total for this week.
March 31, Previous Week = 50, Current Week = 75
April 07, Previous Week = 75, Current Week = 80
April 14, Previous Week = 80, Current Week = 95
So when a new row is started (click NEW in the SP list), the "Current Week" number from the previous row should automatically populate into the "Previous Week" field in the new row.
These numbers are used in calulations in other columns so I would think that the pre-population of this number from the previous row needs to happen as soon as the New button is clicked. Is there a way to autmatically bring these numbers forward from a previous
