SSRS 2008 R2 and sharepoint 2007 report builder problems

I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend.  Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint.  The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could find.  The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.

I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application

however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt  which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.

Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work?  did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in?  The above is the only problem i am having now.

all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu

SSRS - Where are the Sharepoint Report Usage Reports provided by Microsoft

Microsoft provided 3 example reports for Sharepoint report usage. Does anyone know where they are located? I used them about 2 years ago.

SSRS 2008 R2 - Sharepoint list item hyperlink bug?

I have created a report based on a sharepoint list and I am using a subscription in WSS 3.0 to email the report to the users once a week. I want one column in the report to act as a hyperlink to the sharepoint list item but in the email version of the report, the URL has the list item ID repeated twice, which renders the link invalid. Initially, I tried using the 'Encoded Absolute URL' from the sharepoint list query to populate the hyperlink but this just gives a 404 NOT FOUND error and I have found documented in several places on the web that this link only works with document libraries. So instead, I decided to create the URL for the action using an expression, like this: ="http://myserver/mysite/Lists/mylist/DispForm.aspx?ID=" & ListItemID.Value This works perfectly in the development environment and when people run the report for themselves in the sharepoint document library where it is deployed but, for some reason, if I send the report on a schedule then I get the ID parameter repeated at the end twice. Like this: http://myserver/mysite/Lists/mylist/DispForm.aspx?ID=999&ID=999 I have tried rendering the report in several different formats (Word, PDF, MHTML, HTML) and they all seem to work fine in the development and when run within SharePoint but not when they are rendered and emailed using the scheduler. Is this a bug or am I missing so

using SSRS Windows File Share subscription to send file to sharepoint

Hello, I'm looking for the simplest way to automate sending SSRS reports to a Sharepoint document directory.  I know a document library is not a real directory but I am able to run copy scripts into one using the virtual path thats shown when I do Actions-> Open in Windows Explorer. However when I set up a subscription to send a report to this directory, I get an error: Failure writing file \\intranet\projects\docs\test.pdf : The network name cannot be found.  Just checking if anyone knows if this should be able to work or not. Thanks

Setting Title on SSRS (SharePoint Integrated Mode) subscription.

I have some subscriptions in SSRS where the report goes directly to a Document Library on Sharepoint.  The subscription works fine, however, I would like to have the Title of the report be the current date that the report is run.  Is there a way to put a formula such as =[today] in the Title field of the File Options section on the Subscription properties?  I have tried this but either it is not possible or I am not using the correct syntax.  Thanks, Tim Olig

Building SSRS reports based on SharePoint 2007 lists

Hi,   I'm building a SSRS report, and I want to get data out of a SharePoint 2007 list. The difficulty I'm facing is the following: The SharePoint server is behind an ISA Server, and is configured for Form-Based Authentication. Is there a way to keep the FBA and retreve information out of a SharePoint list with reporting services?   Kind Regards,  AVermaas

SSRS 2008R2 - go back to parent report does not work sharepoint integrated mode

I'm currently using SharePoint Foundation 2010 with SQL Server 2008R2 with the SharePoint RS add-in. I have a report with a drilldown to another report.  I can drill down correctly to the other report.  But when I do the "go back to parent report" it will take me back to the parent report, but when I try to drilldown again to another report, I get the following error. "Message: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled. Details: Error parsing near ' <!DOCTYPE html PUB'. Line: 5 Char: 62099" When I run this report in VS 2008 or Report Builder 3, I have no problems drilling down and back and forth. I only have an issue when I deploy the report to SharePoint.  I have also accessed the RDL directly outside of a webpart page, but still get the same error. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue?

How to get sum of a column from sharepoint list into SSRS(2005)

Hi, I have a about 100 columns created for survey questions. I need to get the sum of each column into SSRS. Can it be done in dataset instead of adding the aggregate expression in the footer of ssrs table. Some research that I have done so far.......Under the sharepoint list there is an option for Total for each columns. I can select the sum option and it appears in the list, but how can I access this sum in SSRS.

How do I stop line feeds in a Hierarchy field from a SharePoint list to prevent wrapping in a SSRS r

I'm developing a Reporting Services 2005 report that includes a Hierarchy field from a SharePoint 2007 list.  The Data Source for the report is an XML type. I would like to display the Hierarchy field on 1 line.  However, it is displaying in 2 or more lines in Visual Studio 2005. The field also wraps when rendering to Acrobat (PDF) file.  How can I get rid of the embedded line feed (I believe it's "&#xA").  I've tried using the Replace function in an expression, other functions and changed the properties, e.g., the CanGrow property.  Nothing seems to work.   Here's what I get: LAW>Administrative Law LAW>Criminal Law LAW>International Law   I'd like to see something like this (I'm able to add the "/"): LAW>Administrative Law /LAW>Criminal Law /LAW>International Law/

SSRS and Sharepoint Error

Hi After installing SSRS with SP2 and setting up the integrated database and services I am getting the following whenever I try to browse the the report server website using the URL.  Report Server has encountered a SharePoint error. (rsSharePointError)   e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: The permissions granted to user 'Domain\User' are insufficient for performing this operation., ;  Info: Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: The permissions granted to user 'domain\User' are insufficient for performing this operation.   I have the reporting service and SQL installed on the same server with the server added to the MOSS farm and central admin running on both the database server and a seperate WFE. In an attempt to find out where the insufficient permissions lay the account being used is a local admin on the database server and a SQL admin and is also being used for the windows server identity and web service identity for SSRS. It is my understanding that I do not need to install the add in for MOSS at this point, and I should be able to browse the sites in a list through the SSRS virtual directory I created under the default website. Many thanks

Need the old "Browser" access in the new SharePoint Integrated with SSRS

0 down vote favorite Does anyone know of a way to add or remove items from the "Actions" menu within a report on SharePoint 2010 Integrated with SSRS 2008 R2? I would like to remove "Open with Report Builder" and add "Subscribe" to the Actions menu. I'm working with my SharePoint Server Admin who is at a loss also. I have found how to remove Report Builder from the server but the Admin doesn't want to do that since I am not his only customer. The "Subscribe" option seems to be driven from permissions but I'm not able to get it to show up for my read-only viewers. It shows up for me but I'm not going to give them admin rights. Basically, what I want is the "Browser" role from Report Manager: "May view folders, reports and subscribe to reports." They couldn't open in Report Builder. It seems so basic. I just want people to view reports and if they'd like, subscribe to them. Thank you

"How to get distinct values of sharepoint column using SSRS"

    I have integrated sharepoint list data to SQL Server reporting services. I am using the below to query sharepoint list data using sql reporting services.

   <Method Namespace="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/" Name="GetListItems">
         <Parameter Name="listName">
            <DefaultValue>{GUID of list}</DefaultValue>
         <Parameter Name="viewName">
            <DefaultValue>{GUID of listview}</DefaultValue>
         <Parameter Name="rowLimit">
<ElementPath IgnoreNamespaces="True">*</ElementPath>

By using this query, I am getting a dataset which includes all the columns of sharepoint list. Among these columns, I wanted to display only 2 columns (i.e Region and Sales type) using chart. I have created a Region parameter but when I click
