how to convert server time to a purticuler TimeZone
i have changed the srver time zone to +05.30 but mysql timezone is not changing it's time zone according to the system time ...... so please help me to change the mysql timzone.............
Question: How do I convert UTC time to specified time zone using SQL in SQL Server 2008 R2?
Scenario: I have a database/ASP.NET application that I use to manage people from quite a few different time zones. In order to keep activities coordinated, all the times in the database are UTC time. Each user's TimeZone is also registered in the database
using .NET Framework time zoneIDs e.g. Eastern Standard Time.
In my query I want to specify a date and pull all the activities for that date. However, because all time stamps are UTC times, sometimes an individual's activies fall on two consecutive days in UTC time zone even though the individual completed them on
the same day in his/her time zone. As a result, I get misleading data.
When I specify a date, I want that date to be considered user's date. That means, I need to convert all the activity time stamps into user's time zone in my query. This is where I can use some help.
We are using InfoPath with SharePoint and have mapped some form fields to metadata fields. We have offices around the globe. When people from different offices make small changes on an InfoPath form, the dates get clobbered. It appears
that the date is translated based on the user's time zone when the form is open for reading, but the raw [now translated] date gets written back to SharePoint even when they do not touch the date. Needless to say, after a number of people from different
offices touch a form the dates end up with very unpredictable values.
Is it possible to use InfoPath with SharePoint in a global setting? We have really racked our brains trying to build work arounds to this bug. I have seen other posts that suggest we create a site for each time zone. While this might solve
the time zone translation issues, it totally disrupts the collaborative process.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
I need to confirm each user's time zone settings. How do I run a report to confirm each user's time zone settings. Additionally, I need to update the user accounts that are set incorrectly.
I have found numerous posts on the web that suggest I have each individual do this for themselves or to site down with each user and set this up while they are logged in, but these are absolutely insane suggestions, so please share with me how this is support
to be done.
