Error on KPIListViewPage.aspx in 2007 SP2

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 10, 2011    Points: 0   Category :C#

Hello -

I am trying to create a KPI list win SharePoint 2007 SP2. The AllItems.aspx page seems to work correctly, but loading the KPIListViewPage.aspx page gives "An unexpected error has occurred".

Opening the page in Designer gives this error:

"Error Creating Control - toolBarTbl

The WebPart could not be deserialized from the markup"

Deleting the web part makes the page load, but without the toolbar.

In SP1, you can create KPI lists without an error, yet when you open the page in SharePoint Designer, you still get the same error as above with the web part. SP1 just seems to ignore it and carry on working anyway, including the toolbar.

I've googled this problem, and it seems to have happened to a few people, but no resolution. Any ideas?

TIA

SharePoint Designer 2007 - Customize List View - Error when saving view ASPX page

We have a custom list definition that includes custom site columns.  When we try to open one of the list view aspx pages in SharePoint to update the view query we get an error when trying to save the page in SharePoint Designer 2007.  We receive a warning that the operation will customize the page from the site definition, which is fine.  And then get a general "Server error: ServiceRequestorID" alert.  ServiceRequestorID is a custom site column used by the list definition.

Then i have added the dll intothe bin of my sharepoint site. i have also added in webconfig the dll.

Importing Excel 2007 spreadsheet into WSS 3.0 -- Error Message

Hi,

I'm trying to import (Custom Lists >> Import Spreadsheet) into WSS 3.0 and I'm getting the following message:

Refers to the _layouts

You are not authorized to view this page.  You might not have permissions to view this direcotyr or page using the credentials you supplied. [More stuff here.]

Http ERror 403 - Forbidden

Is this just a permissions problem or is there some other underlying issue?  Should you be able to upload an Excel spreadsheet (with links) into a Custom List?

Thanks!

Excel 2007 Pivot table OLAP- SSAS 2008 Error

Hi, I do have a strange issue with Excel 2007 pivot table report; the data source is SSAS 2008 cube. When refresh the excel 2007 report data using the 'Refresh All' or 'Refresh' button available under the Data menu, the below error is thrown. "The expression contains a function that cannot operate on a set with more than 4,294,967,296 tuples." After some analysis, the report works well on the below workaround, 1. Remove all the calculated measures from report (3 measures in this scenario) 2. Remove one row label (dimension attribute) from report But the measures, attributes are valid one from cube and it is required fields in the report. So, understand that removing few items is not at all a solution. The below workaround also works. 1. Check the 'Defer Layout Update' option from the Pivot Table Field List window. 2. Click on the Update button After that Unchecked the 'Defer Layout Update' option and apply the filter, etc in the report. The report works very well. But every time, we need to use the above work around after open the excel report. I have NO clue on this issue. Please help to resolve this issue. Thanks, Jey

Person.aspx 404 error

Hello all, New Sharepoint admin here, so please be gentle.  I'm trying to get the "My Profile" link to work in the upper-right drop down menu in our newly-installed Sharepoint 2010 site. I'm receiving a 404 error, likely due to the fact it's going to https://siteurl/Person.aspx?accountname whereas I'm trying to set it to go to https://siteurl/my/Person.aspx?accountname... I've followed a few guides on the internet regarding setting the MySite info in the "My Site Settings" of the User Profile Service Application. Currently I've got "my" in the Location field for "Personal Site Location," is this the proper place to change the url?  If I manually navigate to https://siteurl/my/Person.asx?accountname=domain\account the page loads without issue, the problem just seems to be getting sharepoint to go to that proper url. Any assistance would be much appreciated.  Pete

SharePoint ASPX Web Service Call Error

I have developed an ASPX page using VS2005. This page simply queries a SharePoint list through a WSS web service using CAML and takes the results and populates a DataTable and binds it to a DataView. The code works perfect using VS2005 but when I port it over to SharePoint I get the following error.Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy.  To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file. SharePoint 2007, Modify Tooltip Text in SharePoint forms: EditForm.aspx and NewForm.aspx

I have a list in SharePoint that was created awhile back.  The names assigned to some of the columns in the list are no longer relevant.  Due to existing code, the column names cannot be modified to reflect the preferred names.  I was able to change the lables assiciated with these fields within forms NewForm.aspx and EditForm.aspx.  All looks and works just fine except for when the curser lingers in one of these fields, the tooltip that appears contains the underlining (original...no longer relevant) column names.  This is confusing to the user since the name within the lable and the tooltip are different.  I would like a way to either disable the tooltip from displaying or to modify it to display a custom value.  Below is the code from behind the form as it appears in Sharepoint Designer.  I would appreciate some input on this. <SharePoint:FormField runat="server" id="ff11{$Pos}" ControlMode="Edit" FieldName="My_x0020_Field_x0020_Name" __designer:bind="{ddwrt:DataBind('u',concat('ff11',$Pos),'Value','ValueChanged','ID',ddwrt:EscapeDelims(string(@ID)),'@My_x0020_Field_x0020_Name')}"/> <SharePoint:FieldDescription runat="server" id="ff11description{$Pos}" FieldName="My_x0020_Field_x0020_Name" ControlMode="Edit"/>

Getting error while retrieving data from sql server 2008 to infopath 2007 in sharepoint 2007

Hi, I have created an InfoPath form in InfoPath 2007. In this form I am getting data from SQL Server. To do this I have created data source for SQL Server 2008’s Tables. I have created 4 connections for 4 tables. When I am previewing this form from InfoPath Designer 2007, it is working. But when I am publishing this, it is giving me an error ‘Can not update content type’. If I skip this error then my form published but when I open this form from Share Point 2007. It gives me an error:   There has been an error while processing the form. Click Continue to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors. Click Start Over to load a new copy of the form.   An error occurred accessing a data source. An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server. Log ID: 6932 G. Goyal

Modifying Customizing EditForm.aspx of Doc lib breaks Upload function - Unknown Error

Part of a bigger design issue really. But does anybody know why customizing EditForm.aspx of a Doc lib breaks the Upload function? and how to fix it so it does not. My version of the editform works great, but after an upload I get Unknown Error the resulting url looks like this: https://xxxxx.edu/sites/xxxx/_layouts/Upload.aspx?List=%7b0404432B-91A3-4E18-9202-5954E3A7E0D2%7d&RootFolder=%2fsites%2fmcpharm%2ftest3&Source=https%3a%2f%2fxxxxx.edu%2fsites%2fmcpharm%2ftest3%2fForms%2fAllItems.aspx --- The bigger design issue - disregard if you like: That said, the bigger design issue is we are trying to relate one list row to many documents, but don't want to seperate the docs into seperate folders and would like the solutoin to be seamless. We are going to add a look up from the doc lib to the list, but did not want to use anythng but the List's ID column. However, we do not want users to have to manually look up List row IDs in that form, and we did not want to use a list column that can be edited, even if we can add a unique column policy. My design and thinking is to build a few custom pages with dataviews to show row level details in both lists (1 to many) and a dataview to drive list level functions like edit, delete and upload docs. I think all the pieces are there except for the less than graceful upload function that fist uploads the file and then asks the

A customized EditForm.aspx page giving error because it has a "People and Group" field with a "Allow

My customized EditForm.aspx which has a "People and Group" column with the "Allow multiple selections" property as "Yes" was working fine until the Agusust cumulative update was applied into the MOSS server. Now it's giving me the error: "An unexpected error has occurred". Needless to say, when I change the "Allow multiple selections" property to "No", the customized EditForm.aspx page works fine.Forgetting whyMicrosoft introduced this error for now, is there a workaround that you are awre of?
