FtpWebRequest - how to upload two files on FTP server using only one connection?

Hi I am using FtpWebRequest with option KeepAlive = true. When I upload first file I create ftp request object: FtpWebRequest result = (FtpWebRequest)FtpWebRequest.Create(""); I set KeepAlive = true and I do upload file. When I want upload second file I have to create new FtpWebRequest object using new URI FtpWebRequest result = (FtpWebRequest)FtpWebRequest.Create("");   I set KeepAlive = true and I do upload file. The problem is that I have to create new FtpWebRequest so I create new connection to FTP server (I have checked using netstat -b command that my application uses another port number for second file). How can I upload two files (or more) using only on FTP connection/session? Regards

how to make working WPF 2010 program make changes to SQL Server 2008 Express files

(1) I have a working WPF 2010 program that manipulates a table in SQL Server 2008 Express (2) the program does delete, update, select and insert correctly however in its own project file folder logbooklmk.mdf   logbooklmk_log.ldf (3) I want the actual SQL Server 2008 express files to be changed yes I know the issue is sharing and the copy option only applies to the local project files. I found this out by trying always copy, never copy and copy if newer. I probably have to change the .xsd folder to refer to the actual SQL Server 2008 Express file. Tried that once and it failed. Something about sharing not allowed.

Can't enable filestream on SQL Server 2008 Express 64bit under Win 7(64 bit WOW)

I have a newbie question.  I am running Win7(64 bit WOW). I installed SQL Server 2008 Express R2 (64 bit), but when I go to enable filestream, it reports that my edition of SQL Server does not support filestream.  I thought that the 64 bit edition would.  It says to install SQL Server 2008 64 bit.  Am I correct that that is not a free download?  Do I have any other options?

Unable to change autogrowth properties of SQL Server 2008 data and log files

I have used the GUI and the CLI to attempt to change SQL Server 2008 log file autogrowth property all to NO avail. In other words, there are NO error messages of any kind, indeed the CLI reports that the command completed successfully. But re-examining the database properties shows that NO change was effected.

For the CLI command, I have used the following with dots filled in for my database and logfile:

Why doesn't this work? How to make it work?

SQL Server 2008 r2 - Setup support files - Install error / reading from file

I'm installing SQL server 2008 r2 on a Win2003 R2 x86 system.

After i start the setup, the "setup support files" box begins installing, after a while i get this error:

"Error reading from file f:\1033_ENU_LP\x86\setup\sqlsupport_msi\PFiles\SqlServr\100\Setup\ewbfphdh\x86\Patch\rs2000.msp verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

I've tried another DVD, i've tried a mounted share on another machine...no go....i've tried an ISO file mounted on this server... same error.

Is there any way i can install this "setup support files" from another location? (download)

Is there a switch soo it won't install reporting services? (...i think this file rs2000.msp is from reporting services)

Problem with Filestream in sql server 2008

I am tryng to implement the filestream feature provided with sql server 2008. After writing to the file stream file using win32 API i am trying to commit the transaction . Upon doing so i am getting the following error "An uncommittable transaction was detected at the beginning of the batch. The transaction was rolled back. This was caused by an error that occurred during the processing of a FILESTREAM request in the context of this transaction. " I am hitting the remote server where the filestream data is saved.

I checked the @@TRANCOUNT inside my transaction and it showed as 1. I assume this means that there is only one transaction.
I am using c# code to write the file stream file to the path got by column.PathName().

The brief steps are as given below:
1)Hit the DB and get the UNC path of the file. The server is remote and not local.
2) Begin a transaction.
3)Get the transactional context by using  GET_FILESTREAM_TRANSACTION_CONTEXT().
4) Write some data to filestream.
5)Commit the transaction.

I am getting the error when i am trying to commit the transaction.
I checked the path where this file is stored and a new file with the data i have written is created, but it is not getting reflected in my datarow as the transaction is not committed.

The code goes as

Accessing Excel\Access files through Sql Server 2008 R2 Stand 64 BIT

This has been just such a pain with 64 bit! Data Access!!  I have been unable to use linked servers from SQL server to access files because there is no Jet 64 bit. Now, I have been using bulk insert statements.  These are working ok, but for some uknown reason, for a certain .csv file I am getting unexpected end of line errors.  I have tried many things to no resolution..

How can I get linked servers to work with SQL Server 64 bit for excel and access?  Why would microsoft leave this out??

How to upload files to an IIS server?

Let me first describe the actual need first.

I have  a java application runnning on my pda ( a Windows Mobile device). I want to upload a text file from my device to a server using gprs connection.Currently I have a jboss server, and a client application in VC++ that uses the Wininet api. This VC++ client application establishes the gprs connection and also uses the http method of wininet api for file uploading.

I am having difficulty using the http post method for uploading files to the jboss server. I want to use Http "PUT" method at client side.

So I want to create a application at server( I want to use IIS now instead of jboss),that would accept the byte stream from my VC++ client application and create a file at a folder on the server.

Help me with some codes and necessary guidance for doing this.

Thanks in advance.

SQL Server 2008 Management Data Warehouse - Remote Upload Fails

I recently set up the Management Data Warehouse and have encountered an issue with one of the jobs failing.  I set up the database, which I called MgmtDataWhse on a central server, SQL35.  I set up collection on that server and it seems to work fine.  I set up collection on a different server, SQL30, and pointed it to the database on SQL35.  On SQL30, 2 of the 3 collection/upload tasks work fine.  The MDW - collection_set_3_upload job fails on the collection_set_3_upload_upload step, with little useful output.

These are both clustered servers.  I've looked at the SSIS packages on SQL35, specifically the QueryActivityUpload package, but wasn't able to determine what the issue might be.  For some reason, I can't look at the stored packages on SQL30 in SSMS.  Do anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue?
