we receive error while trying to create excel sheet using the template we have uploaded on the SharePoint 2007.
This occurs on a machine that has Office 2010 installed. Earlier the machine had Office 2007 and everything was working fine.
Can you let me know why is problem is coming and how to resolve this.
Not able to display Memberships as well as "SharePoint Documents" in My Site/My Profile even if user is in default Members group of some site in a web application. Explicitly ran the User Profile to SP Sync jobs multiple times - job says "succeeded"
but nothing happens.
Appreciate any advice in this regard.
I'm working on a SharePoint webpart which i'm targeting for both SharePoint 2007 as well as SharePoint 2010. I want to create a common build to make it work in both SharePoint 2007 and 2010. How should i do that? I'm working on Visual Studio 2010 and my
dev environment has SharePoint 2007 installed.
Also, multiple developers may work in the same solution. Some of them have 2007 installed and some have SP 2010 installed. Will it work?
I created three personal view in SharePoint 2010, it's not working properly as we want, when we are changing view from one to another, list data is display as newly selected view in view dropdown, but view name is not getting change.
I created view List Users, List Company, List City. when we a trying to change view from List Users to List Company it's showing data for list company but view name is still showing List Users. same happing with List City.
Any suggestions are welcome.
I have discovered that my Web Front End server will try to connect directly to the SQL server I have listed in my external content type. I am able to render the contenct properly on my SharePoint 2010 App server, but when I try to render the list on
the DMZ server I receive Cannot connect to the LobSystem (External System).
Is there a way around this? I would like my Web Front End to connect only to my SharePoint 2010 App tier which has access to all of the databases in my infrastructure. The Web Front End only has access to the App tier.
I have a SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Installation on two Windows 2008 R2 Server with an additional SQL 2008 R2 Server also on a Windows 2008 R2 Server. My problem is now that I cannot crawl external websites. Local SharePoint sites and File share are working,
only external websites are not working. I have a SharePoint 2007 and also a SharePoint 2008 Search Server Express running on which I can crawl the same websites without problems. I set the DisableLoopbackCheck DWORD on booth server in the registry but this
didn’t help. The warring in the evenlog is changing it depends on the crawled URL. Here are the two warrings:

Has anyone else experience this issue:
Office 2010 is installed on a machine with IE7 running on it.
Explorer view within Sharepoint 2007 and IE7 works fine
Office 2010 requires a product key change from a temporary key from the initial install to a permenant key.
The permenant key is installed and suddenly Explorer view within Shrepoint stops working?
After upgrading to SharePoint 2010 and Reporting Services 2008 (separate servers), all our web part pages that have the ReportViewer web parts in them are not working. The error we are getting is "Web Part Error:
A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Page cannot be displayed or imported. The type could not be found or it is not registered as safe." All the reports are working on the report server but not through the web parts. We used Visual Studio
2005 to create these reports and they all work in MOSS 2007 that also ran Reporting Services 2005. If we delete the web part with the error and put in the ReportViewer web part manually on the page in SharePoint 2010, the reports do work. But there
are too many reports to be doing this manually for every web part page. We already tried making changes to the Handler Mappings but it did not resolve the errors. As far as we can tell, all the DLLs are in the right places. Any help or suggestions would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
