Writing C# code in Open C code class.

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 10, 2011    Points: 0   Category :Windows Application

Previously we were using Unigraphics software which was supporting Open C code. Now the latest version of unigraphics has come which supports C++ or C#.

We are planning to modify the same C file code and inside that writing C# code. Is it possible?

We are using Visual Studio 2008.

Code Name Longhorn: A First Look at Writing and Deploying Apps in the Next Generation of Windows

The next version of the Microsoft Windows operating system, code-named "Longhorn," marks a significant change not only in terms of how the operating system works, but also in the way in which applications are built. The Longhorn version of Windows includes a new storage system, natural search technology, and an increased emphasis on security and trustworthy computing. Here the author provides an overview of Longhorn, focusing on the build-once, deploy n-times application model. In addition, he discusses the new language, code-named "XAML," that's used to create UI elements, then presents some working samples.

C# and the Web: Writing a Web Client Application with Managed Code in the Microsoft .NET Framework

When the author wanted to build a middleware Web client to connect to other applications over the Internet, he realized that the XMLHttpRequest COM object was not sufficient for his purposes. In order to build a Web client using managed code, the author had to use the HTTPWebRequest and HTTPWebResponse classes provided by the Microsoft .NET framework. These classes are used in the sample project as a substitute for the less powerful XMLHttpRequest COM object, allowing the author to build a full-featured Web client. They also take advantage of all the benefits that the CLR and managed code have to offer.

Get the current user without writing code

i have a question regarding the "Get the current user without writing code" tutorial. http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/itaysk/archive/2007/04/05/InfoPath-_2D00_-Get-the-current-user-without-writing-code.aspx?from=ClayCobb the url that i have to enter in the web service details is not working for me. do i have to use the same url for wss 3 also? maybe i have to ask this: can this be used for sharepoint services 3.0? i have enter: http://servername:portnumber/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx  when i open it in a browser it gives me the sharepoint error page and when i insert the url in infopath it gives me this error: the file is not a valid XML file. The form contains XML that cannot be parsed: a string literal was expected, but no opening quote character was found. Extending Page class in XAML and code-behind

I have several XAML "Page"s for which I would like to pull the facets that are in common together into a Page class extension I am calling ACPage. I must be missing some essential piece of knowledge, although I think I am pretty close. Can someone tell me what I am missing? I am learning C#, XAML, .NET, etc. all simultaneously.

I get the following warning:
Warning 1 'Al_Cr.PageWelcome.InitializeComponent()' hides inherited member 'Al_Cr.ACPage.InitializeComponent()'. Use the new keyword if hiding was intended. D:\Projects\Al Cr\Al Cr\Al Cr\obj\x86\Release\PageWelcome.g.cs 50 21 Al Cr

and this error:
Error 2 'Al_Cr.ACPage' cannot be the root of a XAML file because it was defined using XAML. Line 1 Position 15. D:\Projects\Al Cr\Al Cr\Al Cr\PageWelcome.xaml 1 15 Al Cr

The warning points to the auto-generated PageWelcome.InitializeComponent() function definition. The error points to the end of the bolded text, below.

My ACPage.xaml & ACPage.xaml.cs is defined thusly:

<Page x:Class="Al_Cr.ACPage"
      xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
      xmlns:x="

How to auto-generate object initzializer code according to any given class definition?

Hello!

I think this is at least somewhat connected to reflection so I posted it here.

I work with WCF and Web Services right now. Of course I use the tools provided to generate code from the WSDL documents, hence, for every datatype, a corresponding class is generated. As the WS has loads of types with nested subtypes, I get about 80 usually small classes, only having a few members. In order to implement all that, I have to initialize the classes over and over again.

So I wonder, if there is no way, to use reflection to automatically generate  code (object inizializer) from the class definition, including all subclasses?

Ideal would be a snipped - so that I just enter the name of any random class and dynamically get the full initializer generated. Do snippets actually have the power to do that?

As this will save a lot of stupid typing, I also wonder, if there aren't already any tools, snippets or widgets that do this? I assumed that is is something many programmers might need, but google did not show anything like it.

Thank you very much!

Can't access App_Code class in Code Behind file

I have a class defined in the App_Code subdirectory:

namespace WebApplication9_App_Code
{
  public class Class1
  {
  }
}

And I have a code behind class default.aspx.cs:

using System;
using System.Data;
using System.Configuration;
using System.Collections;
using System.Web;
using System.Web.Security;
using System.Web.UI;
using System.Web.UI.WebControls;
using System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts;
using System.Web.UI.HtmlControls;

namespace WebApplication9
{
  public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page
  {
    protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
      WebApplication9_App_Code.Class1 cls1;
    }
  }
}

I get the following compilation error:

The type or namespace name 'WebApplication9_App_Code' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks very much for your help.
