Creating a Smartphone Application and Using Data from SQL Mobile

In this exercise, you will use Visual Studio 2005 to create a Smartphone application. You will associate commands with a mobile device's soft keys, and you will add the ability to scroll through the list of available products (a list of images). You will create a data source for an existing SQL Mobile database, and then test the application in the Windows Mobile 5.0 emulator.

In the following procedure, you will create a new Windows Mobile 5.0 project in Visual Studio.

Smartphones: Design Robust Apps that Take Advantage of Windows CE-powered Smartphone Devices

Smartphone applications promise to be at the crest of a new wave of cell phone advances as the familiar process of using Microsoft dev tools can produce cutting-edge mobile phone applications. These applications will possess the necessary levels of enterprise functionality while integrating mobile phone features through the use of several easy to use APIs. This article looks at the basics of building a real-world business application for the Smartphone.

SSRS2008r2 excel export cannot be opened in smartphone/pda/nokia/samsung/iphone

I've submitted a bug report (above). Please read for more details.
Have other people found the same problem?

Basically, an excel report from SSRS2005 could be happily opened on various smartphones, but cannot when exported from SSRS2008R2.

An odd workaround is to download the EXCEL to a desktop pc. Open the Excel, Save the excel. And then email that to the smartphone. This modified excel sheet can be viewed fine on a smartphone.
(of course, this workaround is manual, and cannot apply to automated subscription reports)

So something between 2005 and 2008 has changed, and changed badly. The example I've attached to the bug report is an report with just one cell with a label in it. As simple as could possibly be.
It views fine on smartphones if exported from SSRS2005, but fails to open at all if exported from SSRS2008.

If anyone else has ideas on what else I could possibly try? or at least could they verify they have the same problem and it's not just me. :)

Smartphone and ASP.Net

My ASP.Net website works OK with a computer or a Smarthphone.  www.QQWebsite.com/Demo

Is there something that I should be doing to make it work better on a Smartphone?
