ASP:Chart Image Not Loading When Converting to PDF

Here's a nice one for a Pro to bite into I have a web form that generates a set of reports including asp chart controls. Clicking on the black title loads the report section into the ajax enabled panel below it. Beautiful! Two Problems though: Sometimes, when the ajax is loading the next report section, all the other charts on the page flicker and sometimes even show a red x (the image disappears). They can then reappear again when another chart loads! 2nd Problem: If I use the html-to-pdf converter, I tell all the panels to bind to the data source (they are repeaters) on page load and show content. I Then convert the resulting datastream to PDF. All the other images on the page load, but the ones for the charts don't. I have looked at the generated code, and they are all linked fine to the correct address of the site and the chart generator url. A sample image of the working page is below: Example PageExample PDFPage PDF is generated from     Thanks in advance! IanB

Converting a System.Windows.Control.Image object to byte array.

Hi i need to convert a specific System.Windows.Control.Image object into an (int) array, because i'm trying to convert a silverlight application into a wpf project. private void createGi02GradBrush()<br/> {<br/> WriteableBitmap oWriteableBitmap = new WriteableBitmap(256, 256);<br/> Image oImage = new Image();<br/> oImage.Arrange(new Rect(0, 0, 256, 256));<br/> oImage.Measure(new Size(256, 256));<br/> oImage.Source = new WriteableBitmap(256, 256);<br/> Gi02GradShaderEffect oGi02GradShaderEffect = new Gi02GradShaderEffect();<br/> oGi02GradShaderEffect.pArray = oPImageBrush;<br/> oGi02GradShaderEffect.gi1GradArray = oGi1GradImageBrush;<br/> oImage.Effect = oGi02GradShaderEffect;<br/> oWriteableBitmap.Render(oImage, null);//here<br/> oWriteableBitmap.Invalidate(); <br/> this.oGi02GradImageBrush = new ImageBrush();<br/> this.oGi02GradImageBrush.ImageSource = oWriteableBitmap;<br/> } I've found some similar topics however Image object is not the same and most of its methods aren't available. Here I'm rendering a writablebitmap with a given Image object, but in wpf we need an array. oWriteableBitmap.Render(oImage, null); Any idea? Thanks. Joseph.

Converting an Image/BitmapImage object into Byte Array and vice versa

Hi,  I have an requirement of developing an application (WPF) that recevies image object from WCF service.

Converting windows form to bmp - image crops when the screen resolution is changed

I am converting windows form to a bitmap file using   DrawToBitmap method.  My code looks like this.

            Dim wid As Integer = 760 '  Me.Width
            Dim hgt As Integer = 780 ' Me.Height
            Dim bm As New Bitmap(wid, hgt)
            Me.DrawToBitmap(bm, New Rectangle(0, 0, wid, hgt))
            bm.Save(CurDir() & "\sample.bmp")

This code work fine on desktop/laptop with the screen resolution 1024 x 768  or above.   If I use app on a table pc – with the screen resolution is 800 x 480, the image gets cropped.
Any suggestion or alternate mode.

Converting raw RGBA data back into an image.

I have been using a programme called Momento (which is a photobook programme - see www.momento.com.au if relevant).  With out boring you with the details I have lost all of my original data and am unable to recover it.

The programme did store image cache files in my application data and these appear to be related to the original picutres.  These files have names like 0dfc15fead0908ed2176d0d46e165614 and dont have file extensions.  Some are quite large - 3-4 GB which is consistent with the original pics.  There is also a file of thumb cache and these are DAT files.  Neither open with Momento.  I have been in touch with Momento support and they are unable to assist me other than to tell me the image cache files are raw RGBA data.

Obviously what I need to know is can I convert these files back to some sort of image and if so how and/or what programme can I use?  Is there a techincal service that could do it for me for a fee?

Thanks in advance

How can I do this image and text split in html?

1) The image is from a asp:image tag
2) text is from asp:label

view here : http://screencast.com/t/fNL3SUzG

How can I get text to start after the image is set in the top left corner, and then have text wrap underneath the image, if the text is long enough.

I need to use asp:image and asp:labels as the inputs are populated from codebehind.

How can this text and image format be done ???

When binding value to ImageUrl property of Image using XPath it shows code as html markup on fronten

I have a listview in which I want to show an image from an xmldatasource control.

The following works, and shows the value of thumb (in this case: 12_634232073402187500_whatever.jpg)

<asp:ListView ID="repLocationsToCompare" ItemPlaceholderID="itemsGoHere" runat="server">
            <%# XPath("thumb")%>
<asp:XmlDataSource EnableCaching="false" XPath="root/data/compare/locations/location" ID="XMLDSCompare" runat="server"></asp:XmlDataSource>

No problem there, BUT, when I use an imagecontrol:

<asp:ListView ID="repLocationsToCompare" ItemPlaceholderID="itemsGoHere" runat="server">
            <asp:Image ID="img" Visible='<%# XPath("thumb

PublishingWebControls:RichImageField show html code for the image instead of rendering the image

I am modifying the article page layout to display more than one image. The rendered page does not show the image. Its showing the <img> tag instead.

ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript Snippet Support (VS 2010 and .NET 4.0 Series)

This post covers another useful improvement in VS 2010 - HTML/ASP.NET/JavaScript snippet support. Snippets allow you to be more productive within source view by allowing you to create chunks of code and markup that you can quickly apply and use in your application with a minimum of character typing.

Visual Studio has supported the concept of "snippets" for VB and C# in previous releases - but not for HTML, ASP.NET markup and JavaScript. With VS 2010 we now support snippets for these content types as well.

Maintain HTML Radio Button Selection Inside GridView After Postback

Long time ago I wrote an article about getting the value of the selected RadioButtons inside the GridView control. The code did not addresssed the postback issue which means that the selected radio button was cleared after the postback occurs.

Built-in Functions - Text and Image Functions in SQL Server

Text and image functions operate on TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types. These data types are deprecated with SQL Server 2005 and should be replaced by VARCHAR(MAX), NVARCHAR(MAX) and VARBINARY(MAX) when possible. Alternatively you can also consider storing large string values using XML data type. Text and image functions are nondeterministic.

Future versions of SQL Server will not support TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types. Columns with TEXT / NTEXT data type do not support commonly used string functions such as LEN, LEFT, RIGHT, etc. Furthermore, due to the large size of TEXT data you''re likely to see performance issues if you store such data in the database. However, at times you can''t help but use the TEXT / NTEXT / IMAGE data types (for example when supporting 3rd party databases when you cannot change the schema) - this is when text and image functions come in handy.

Rendering ASP.NET Script References into the Html Header

One thing that I've come to appreciate in control development in ASP.NET that use JavaScript is the ability to have more control over script and script include placement than ASP.NET provides natively. Specifically in ASP.NET you can use either the ClientScriptManager or ScriptManager to embed scripts and script references into pages via code.

Program for Format Conversion of An Image

.NET provides extensive support for image conversion. Any image can be processed from one format to another. Most common formats to which .NET have support for are .BMP, .EMF, .GIF, .ICO, .JPG, .PNG, .TIF and .WMF.
