I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2. They are both installed on my primary disk. FileStream is enabled.

The code i'm using:

and then when i try to execute this code:

          ADD FILE
                   (NAME = FS_FILESTREAM,FILENAME = N' C:\TEST_FS'

i get error:

Msg 5135, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
The path 'C:\TEST_FS' cannot be used for FILESTREAM files. For information about supported paths, see SQL Server Books Online.
Msg 5009, Level 16, State 14, Line 1
One or more files listed in the statement could not be found or could not be initialized.

My SQL Server is using Log On as built-in account Network Service. I tried giving that account write permissions and it still doesn't work.

Could someone help me?

Weird security configuration error message

Recently something has gone wrong with our website so that whenever you try to access an aspx file, it shows the following error:

Error with ASP.NET Configuration Tool

I'm trying to make an MVC 2 site, and I've run into a bit of a snag.  I want to add user roles to my system via the configuration tool, but every time I click the Security tab I get the following error:

"There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. Click the button below to be redirected to a page where you can choose a new data store.

The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: Could not load type 'HandiGamer.MvcApplication'."

When I click on the 'Choose Data Store' button, it tells me I'm already using AspNetSqlProvider.

I have a .mdf file for the rest of the site's db, but didn't make any tables for membership as I thought all of that would be handled by the configuration tool.

Am I missing a step?

Web Part working fine on the top-level page but 'Not Safe' error on lower-level pages.

I have created a Web Part which reads and parses the SharePoint logs in order to display usage information of the page it resides on.  The Web Part works perfectly on the top page, reading and displaying the information desired.  However, once the Web Part is added to any page lower in the site heirarchy (sub-page) the same Web Part throws the following error:

Of course the current version of the Web Part is in the SafeControls list on the web.config.

The Web Part was originally designed to return site activity only for the top default.aspx page and worked fine but started to fail in the manner described above once I added the following line of code to return a SPCo

Transport Level Error

Hello,I have a ASP.NET 2.0 based web application. At a certain point, I restore a specific MS Sql Server Database from a previously saved backup. The restore works perfectly, however, when I try to access the application again I encounter this error:A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.)If I just refresh the page, or in other words, I wait for a few moments and then access the web application, it works just fine. I am at a fix understanding as to what may be causing this. I have gone through couple of other posts in this forum and other material on the internet talking about Connection Pools and so on. At the end, I am still unable to resolve this issue? Should I stoop to a lower level and just add some sort of delay after the restore is done, so that the user will never (hopefully) encounter the above said hiccup, or is there a smarter way to deal with this? Also, I am using NetTiers template to access my MS Sql Server database.Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

Sharepoint 2010 COnfiguration Wizard Error Step 3 of 10

I am trying to install Sharepoint 2010 on a Windows 2008 R2 Hyper V Instance.  The database is SQL Server 2008 R2.  All them are RTM I am getting this error Failed to Create the configuration Database An exception of type Syste.InvalidCastException was thrown.  Additional exception information: Unable to cast object of type "Microsoft.IdentityModel.Configuration.MicrosoftIdentityModelSection' to type "Microsoft.IdentityModel.Configuration.MicrosoftIdentityModelSection' to diagnose the problem, review the logs at so after reviewing the logs this is what I find Resource retrieved id PostSetupConfigurationFailedEventLog is Configuration of SharePoint Products failed.   This is the error from the event logs Log Name:      Application Source:        SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard Date:          4/26/2010 11:30:09 PM Event ID:      104 Task Category: None Level:         Error Keywords:      Classic User:          N/A Computer:      jedicouncil.endor.local Description: Failed to create the configuration database. Msg 8624, Level 16, State 13 - Internal SQL Server error.

Hi, I have a weird T-SQL 80 query full of nested subqueries full of aggregations tha thas been embedded in a view. if I do select * from the view I get: Server: Msg 8624, Level 16, State 13 Internal SQL Error.  If I run the same block of code from the query analyzer it runs fine. Also if I wrap exactly the same code in a SP it runs fine. I'm running this on a SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition SP4 8.00.2282. + I turned on the following Trace Flags: 3614, 9052, 9054, 9056, 9057, 9185, 9256. If I restore the same DB on a SQL Server 2005 and do the same select * it runs fine. So I'm getting the Error 8624 only on my SQL 2000 Standard edition  SP4 8.00.2282. Another thing I dont understand is also: why I can compile the view but if I try to visualize even the query plan I get the same error?!? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you. Restoring 2008 Database with Filestream - Process cannot access file error

I'm trying to restore a copy of a database that has a filestream and am getting the error below. I've tried with move option to specify a new path and left it with default path, neither worked. Did a trace with procmon, didn't see anything. FileStream1 is a new folder that the restore process creates. I've deleted the folder, tried it with a new name, re-took the backup from the source machine, restarted SQL, rebooted the machine, drive permissions are open. I've run out of ideas on how to debug further. Looking up the error online wasn't much help either. Msg 3634, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 The operating system returned the error '32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)' while attempting 'OpenFile' on 'X:\Data\FileStream1\4ecb2e48-0eee-4c99-a3f0-f1e6c7f00b24\f2efe374-9481-4c1b-a7f2-dcdcee350807\0000001b-0000aaa6-00f6'. Error installing RBS with the FILESTREAM provider

I had intalled RBS on the web application according to this guids http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee748631.aspx. In rbs_install_log I can find the message "Product: SQL Remote Blob Storage -- Configuration completed successfully". Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections." In content Database no rbs tables have been created.  I try the command line with DBINSTANCE=<instancename> und DBINSTANCE=<servername\instancename>, but I get always the same error.
