I am using VWD 2010 and I would like to use the ReportViewer control. I cannot seem to find it in the toolbox. Is there a download I need to do in order to get this control?

To my displeasure I cannot find VWD2005 which at one time would generate a complete web.config for Ajax so I downloaded and installed VWDE 2010 to a clean install of XP Pro.
I've created a new tab on the toolbar for the controls but after I select the Ajax dll to add the controls to the toolbar it grinds away and then goes poof and closes down the task leaving VWD look as if I had never even created the tab in the toolbar.
Any advice here?
I am trying to use ReportViewer 9 in Visual Studio 8 but I get this error when I try to run the page:
The base class includes the field 'ReportViewer1', but its type (Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer) is not compatible with the type of control (Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer).
Please help if you can!
I am using Microsoft Visual C# 2010 Express Version 10.0.30319.1 RTMRel and I want to add a Project for a WPF Custom Controls library. Note: The WPF Custom Control Item Template is included and can be added to a WPF Application project.
Does anyone know:
Hi, this kind of a two part question. Is there any way to handle an error that is displayed inside a report, such as an error returned from a stored procedure? I have a page with the ReportViewer control on it, but I don't really have any control
over the rdl's or the sprocs, so it's possible that something will go wrong. Currently I'm just getting the following error:
If at all possible I would like to handle this error myself and show a message that's consistent with the rest of the site. I've attempted to handle the ReportError event, but this seems to only fire when there's an issue with the viewer itself, not
what it's showing.
I have developed InfoPath 2010 web form with People Picker Control. I want to set sharepoint group which would be used in People Picker Control to search people. Ok, I set sharpoint site url and aftet that - select sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath
group' I need. Everything works fine - I can select only people inside sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath group'.
Now I deploy my solutions (wsp package) on different site collection and sharepoint server installations. In this case People Picker Control can't find right sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath group'. Sometimes People Picker Control select another
group, not that I have select in InfoPath Designer and sometimes People Picker Control select all users.
What's wrong with it and can I configure People Picker Control to select sharepoint group?
I'm working on upgrading reports created in 2005 using reportviewer control in local mode. The reports have upgraded ok, but I have several reports that use the following code, or something similar:
Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
If Not IsPostBack Then
ReportViewer1.Visible = False
ReportViewer1.Visible = True
'Protected Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
'ReportViewer1.Visible = True
However, after playing with it for serveral days, I cannot get the report to display after postback. If I just run the report with all my code commented out, the report immediately opens with a default just fine. My users generally need to enter some parameters that are sent to the objectdatasource as where clause parameters (customer name or date for instance), so I need to hide the report until the user gets a chance to enter their criteria. How can I achieve this using reportviewer 2010?
I am using Visual Studio 2010. I was debugging a web application and an exception happened and VS 2010 froze. I ended the VS 2010 in the task manager and when I went back to developing, I found on every form for every ASP.net control I get:
Error Creating Control -
Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.
Also I am unable to edit the form or add anything from the toolbox.
Any help on this matter will be appreciated.
I have used this LANAP captcha with SharePoint 2007 and it works perfect.
Recently, i migrated to SharePoint 2010 and was trying to make this work with SP 2010 but when i run the page, image is not being displayed on the captcha control. i'm using assembly version 220.127.116.11 for lanap captcha.
Does anyone else having same issue?
