Skip first row and apply css to the rest of the table rows

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 10, 2011    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

Hi,

I have a datagrid wrapped in a div. I want to apply the hover effect but I only want the effect to start from the second row since
the first row is the column headers. How do I skip the first row in this code, currently it gets applied to all of the rows.

I tried not:first property with no success.

 $("#divGridView table tbody tr").live("mouseover mouseout", function() {
         if (event.type == 'mouseover') {
            $(this).closest("tr").css(
             {
                 'background-color': '#FFFFFF',
                 'color': '#E62828'
             });
        }
        else
            $('tr').removeAttr("style");
    });

Thanks

Using jQuery to Filter Table Rows

The project is using the .net GridView control, so I had limited control over the output HTML code. Still, I think this code can work for most tables. One thing to notice: you should use the class "filterable" on your table or on one of its parents for the code to work.
First, we need a text box:

RadioButton Groups, Table Rows And NamingContainers in asp.net

The RadioButtonList. Very handy for inviting users to select just one item from a list although because of the screen real estate it takes up, used less and less in favour of the DropDownList. In plain HTML, the browser knows to enforce the unique selected value amongst a list of radio buttons because they all have the same value for their name attributes.

(In which AJAX-enhanced CheckBoxes become more useful than RadioButtons but inheritance saves the day, and a simple RadioButton-derived control establishes the purpose of a control's naming container)

How to get column value difference of rows in same table

Dear all, I need a TSQL statement to find the difference of values of two rows in the same table, by taking into consideration some conditions. I have the following rowss in a table named table1 dbname  sqlinst     size1   ddate sqldb1    inst1        200    1/1/2009 sqldb1    inst1        250    1/1/2010 sqldb1    inst1        170    1/1/2008 sqldb2    inst2        300    1/1/2009 sqldb2    inst2        340    1/1/2010 I need to find the difference between size1 values, for columns where their dbname and sqlinst are the same. I also need to define in TSQL that the ddate of row from where I subtract (size1) from is 1/1/2010 and that the ddate of the row I subtract (size1) is 1/1/2009 (e.g. in the above example: for sqldb1 inst1, I need to perform 250-200 and ignore 170, and for sqldb2 inst2  340-300). Please let me know if you have a solution for this. A million thanks!

How to declare a table variable in SSIS and then insert rows into it

Hello everyone,   I'll try to explain my problem as clearly as I can: 1)I have an Execute SQL Task that's inside a Foreach Loop Container. 2)Inside the Execute SQL Task, I have an int OUTPUT column. 3)With each iteration, I need to insert the data from the INT output colum into a table variable. 4)After the Foreach Loop finishes the iterations, I need to use the table variable to create a report based on the data inside.   My question is the following: How can I declare a table variable so that I can do all of the above?   Thank you, CostinP

Max number of rows in a table

Hey I'm doing a bit of research on which database to use for a new project. And one of the factors I have to take into consideration, is that we will have some tables with a high amount of records. I originally intended to use mysql (because it's free), but I have found that it has a cap of 4.2 billion rows per table. And it is a possibility that we will exceed that number in a few of our tables. So far, from looking around here, and on the web, I've only be able to find, that is no such cap on tables in mssql, and that table sizes is only limited by available storage. The thing is, 99% of the info I found regarding tablesize limits in mysql, also stated that it was only limited by the storage size (4gb, not all available). I had to look very thouroughly to find that last 1% where someone mentioned the 4.2 bil. upper limit. I hope someone here can confirm that, there is indeed no limit on the number of records in a single table in mssql, no hidden cap, however unlikely to be an issue. I find, that there's a ton reasons to pick mssql over mysql. But this factor will be a big selling point, in convincing the higher-ups that mssql is the better choice for my project.

Inline table valued function, full outer join and cross apply

Good afternoon, I'm experiencing quite strange issue with our T-SQL code. We have inline table-valued function which is using full outer join on 1 = 1. The reason why we do it this way is - we need to combine one row from 2 different result sets either of them can have either 0 or 1 row. The strange thing, that if we have the situation when both row-sets are empty, function does not return the row (as expected). Although, select which uses this function with cross apply "uses" the result from the previous row. Below is the simplified example. First select with ID = 2 predicate does not return any rows. Although if I remove this filter, it re-uses Value2 from the previous row. create FUNCTION dbo.Func(@Id int) RETURNS TABLE AS RETURN ( with CTE1(Value1) as ( select 'Value1' where @ID = 1 ) ,CTE2(Value2) as ( select 'Value2' from CTE1 ) select CTE1.Value1, CTE2.Value2 from CTE1 full outer join CTE2 on 1 = 1 ) go select * from dbo.Func(2) go create table dbo.TestTable ( ID int not null ) go insert into dbo.TestTable values(1), (2) go select t.ID, f.Value1, f.Value2 from dbo.TestTable t cross apply dbo.Func(t.ID) f where t.ID = 2 go select t.ID, f.Value1, f.Value2 from dbo.TestTable t cross apply dbo.Func(t.ID) f order by t.id go Our SQL version is: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP1) - 10.0.2531.0 (X64) &nb

How to dynamically add table rows within update panel ?

Hi, In my webform, i have 3-4 textbox, on there textchange event i have to fetch data from database and put it on the form. I have taken another html table (with runat="server")  below textbox and  and in textchange event created a new <tr>, <td> and simply added contents in <td>, then finally added <tr> in the table. This is done in UpdatePanel. When i enter something in textbox1 data is added in that table,that's fine. But when i enter something in 2nd textbox the previous data is overridden. My requirement is that if 2nd textbox's text changes than another row with appropiate data should be added, i.e., now two rows. Silimarly if 3rd ,4th textbox data changes then subsequently 3 or 4 rows should be displayed. What should i do ?
