HELP! - asp.net Charting...

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 10, 2011    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

Okay, I don't know if this is a .NET thing, an IIS thing, or a stupid mistake in my code...

I am using the charts web form control and it looks amazing when I am looking at it in debugging mode in Visual Studio. It returns no errors in the build either. But when I go to view the page outside of VS and debugging... I get...

500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

My statistics page looks like this:

A flexible charting library for .NET

ZedGraph is a class library, Windows Forms UserControl, and ASP web-accessible control for creating 2D line, bar, and pie graphs of arbitrary datasets. The classes provide a high degree of flexibility - almost every aspect of the graph can be user-modified. At the same time, usage of the classes is kept simple by providing default values for all of the graph attributes. The classes include code for choosing appropriate scale ranges and step sizes based on the range of data values being plotted. Moreover, ZedGraph is compatible with .NET 2.0, and VS .NET 2005.

wpf charting column series data binding problem

I'm trying to build a chart using the columnSeries from the wpf toolkit and I appear to be having trouble with the data binding. Here is the xaml: <Grid>    <chartingToolkit:ColumnSeries Height="18" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="188,169,0,0" Name="columnSeries1" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="18" IndependentValueBinding="{Binding Path=Date}" DependentValueBinding="{Binding Path=Value}" /></Grid> In the code behind, I'm calling a stored procedure and putting the result in a datatable like this: string connString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["string"].ConnectionString;            using (SqlConnection cn = new SqlConnection(connString))            {                DataTable dt = new DataTable("T1");                cn.Open();                SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("T1_sp", cn);                cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;                  SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter(cmd);                da.Fill(dt);                columnSeries1.ItemsSource = dt.DefaultView;                cn.Close();            } No error is being generated but I'm not getting a column chart either. If I take the same command and put it into a datagrid, it works fine. What do I need to do to get this into my column chart? If it helps,

Asp.Net Charting Control - Z axis

From the documentation i have read so far, it appears to me that i cannot add a 3rd dimension to the chart. I was looking for a confirmation of this and if there was any other avenue available for me to make charts that look similar to the ASP.NET chart control (visually) but allow me to add a z-axis.

Charting... Working, but not! :-S

I am reporting data to a page called statistics.aspx and am trying to use the ASP.Net 4 Chart Control. It works when I run it through Debug in Visual Studio and shows no build errors but throws a server 500 error without stack trace in the live environment. I'm really confused about what to do because It's running fine on localhost and the rest of the site functions as normal in the live environment. :-S

Is there something special that needs to be setup in IIS 7 (.5) for charts to work?

Help! I really have no idea where to go from here.
