What i want is the calendar part in the Home > Calendar > Public Calendar can also be view in the Homepage. I dont mind if there is any paid web part to be use as long as it can meet my requirements.

Important events in a calendar

Hi all forum   I am using an asp calendar which mark the current day with a certain color. But I wish to extend this functionality. I wish to assign certain important events will happen in the future and highlight their days, and when the user clicks this certain day he will be directed to the page of the event. In other words If today is 7-9-2010 it is already highlighted in my calendar I wish to high-light  15-9-2010 cell and may write some tip with it  and when the user click on 15-9-2010 cell he will be directed to events.aspxalso How about binding it to a sql table containing events and the events diplayed highlighted. as if it is a gridview binding to a datasource and on its row command event some funtions will happen

adding onload event from code behind for Google Maps

Im working with Google maps start turoail: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial.html#HelloWorldAs you can see there's a line: <body onload="initialize()">Now since, I want to have Google Maps on page A.aspx within a masterpage main.master, I dont have the <body> tag available to me in the A.aspx page.I preferably DONT want to have the body tag as runat="server", since Google Maps is not relevant for all pages and I dont like a server control when its not needed as they slow things down (even a bit).I tried this in A.aspx.vb, but it didnt work:Dim javaScript As New StringBuilder        javaScript.Append("<script type='text/javascript'>")        javaScript.Append("window.document.body.onload = initialize();")        javaScript.Append("</script>")        Me.Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock(Me.GetType(), "BodyLoadUnloadScript", javaScript.ToString())How can I add the onload event from code behind?

SharePoint 2007 Calendar - add an event to a recurring meeting workspace

Hello all,

I was wondering if someone can answer this problem I am having.

Simple Question: Are you able to add an additional event into a recurring event which is linked to a meeting workspace?

Long version:

I create an event in a calendar with the recurrence of every monday for the month. (4 dates lets say)  We have a special meeting to add to the meeting workspace, so I add an additional event in the calendar and try to add this date (15th lets say) to that previous meeting workspace series.

My problem is that the ability to add the new date (15th) to the series doesn't show me any options to add to that previous meeting workspace, I can only create a new meeting workspace.

My colleague who has used SharePoint 2003 at another workplace is 100% sure she could do this, however I am at a loss where SharePoint 2007 allows this functionality.

In a new calendar, I tested this theory by creating 3 events with recurring dates and creating an associated meeting workspace with each of them.  Not once did I get the option to add the event to another meeting workspace.  I added an event with no recurrence with an associated meeting workspace, the very next event could add to that meeting workspace which is what I want except to a recurring meeting workspace.

From my analysis, any event that has a recurring series

Default Duration for calendar event

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to modify the default event duration for a user who adds items to a sharepoint calendar.  I've found the examples on the internet that use jquery, but none of these appear to work for SP 2010.  It changes the "end time" value, but sharepoint then changes it right back.

I'm fine modifying some values on the back end - I know that somewhere the default time is set in a file, but I have no idea where it is despite my looking.  Apparently SP 2007 had a default duration of 30 minutes, but now 2010 has a default duration of 1 hour.  I'd love to be able to change this.

I'm fine editing the aspx pages, but need some more guidance on what is possible with SP 2010.  I tried adding a content editor webpart, but it kept saying that my code might have been changed (although it doesn't appear to have been).

Thanks for any help!

Calendar Day View - Location for all day events

How do you get the location to appear in the calendar for an all day event?  Right now, the only info that appears is the title, even though Location is the sub-heading chosen for the calendar columns in both week and day view (month view does not have a subheading choice).  I am unable to get any sub-headings to appear for all day events.

Thank you

Simplest way to get a month change event on WPF Calendar (.net 4.0)

is there a simple way to receive some event as soon as someone turns the wpf calendar to the next or previous month?

The calendar is used as a user control part. (If this info is necessary)

At least i tried to handle this over some code via "DependencyProperty" to access the contend and the changed event of the "PART_Header...".

Unfortunately that won't solve my case.
