To my displeasure I cannot find VWD2005 which at one time would generate a complete web.config for Ajax so I downloaded and installed VWDE 2010 to a clean install of XP Pro.
I've created a new tab on the toolbar for the controls but after I select the Ajax dll to add the controls to the toolbar it grinds away and then goes poof and closes down the task leaving VWD look as if I had never even created the tab in the toolbar.
Any advice here?
i'm newbie to AJAX usage.
i'm using visual web developer 2008 express edition
i downloaded AjaxControlToolkit.Binary.NET35 from codeplex site.
i extracted the zip file.
I added the toolbox to visual web developer by adding a new tab naming it ajax kit.
added tools to it by choose item and selected AjaxControlToolkit.dll ,the one i unzipped.
AJAX tools appear in toolbox.Even after using script manager tool, when i drag one of the contols for example autocompleteextender,i get a circle with black diagonal line indicating i cant use the tool
Why is it so..
when i hard code the the controls in tags in source tab ,i dont get an error but i dont get the tool in design view...
the following lines are also present
<%@ Register assembly="System.Web.Extensions, Version=220.127.116.11, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" namespace="System.Web.UI" tagprefix="asp" %><%@ Register assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" tagprefix="ajaxToolkit" %>
Can anyone plz help me...
I just downloaded the April 12 release of ajax control toolkit. when I put the modal pop up extender in the page, I was getting ajax script 4.0 required errors. it turns out that I had different version.
How do I know which version is compatible. I had built the application in VS 2008 3.5 framework. The recommended download version was 3.5 zip file on codeplex.
Is it possible to change the captions language of HTMLEditor?
How can I do it?
I moved my site to asp.net 4.0, and added ajax control toolkit 4.1.40412.0. Also on the page i added ToolkitScriptManager with attribute EnableCdn="true". But my site continues loading toolkit scripts from resources, not from CDN network. How to fix it?
Does it matter where I extract the downloaded AjaxControlToolkit files? Do I extract them to my pc, or to my server? In a specific VS2010 folder? Not seeing any documentation on this..
I am using visual studio 2008 with 3.5 framework, I tried color picker extendor control for my application. control is not coming to my page. please guide me on this regards.
i'm trying to use the ajax control toolkit but each time i'm trying to run my project i'm getting a:
"Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.ArgumentUndefinedException: Value cannot be undefined.Parameter name: type " Error.
if i hit the continue button the page loads but without the functionality of the control.
the control that i'm trying to use is the AutoCompleteExtender.
i followed all the video tutorials and read many post about this toolkit but found nothing about this error.
i tried this on both web developr 2008, 2010 and visual studio 2008.
