Instalation Error PowerShell Windows

Posted By:      Posted Date: December 04, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

Hi, I have an error during instalation of SQL Server 2008 R2, says that I have to install Windows PowerShell. I already download and install it, but the error continues.

I made the download from here : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=6CCB7E0D-8F1D-4B97-A397-47BCC8BA3806&displaylang=en

Anyone knows how I solve this problem?

Login to SQL, using Windows 7, SQL Server Error 18452, "Login failed. The login is from an untrusted

I have a File/Sharing Server which is Server 2008 SP2 and SQL Server 2008 is installed on it. My system which is on the same workgroup, was running Windows 2003 Server, which I have saved Server 2008 login credential on it and used that credential to login to SQL Server on Server 2008 system in Windows Authentication mode using SQL management studio. Recently I installed Windows 7 on that system, and I have also saved that Server 2008 credential in Windows 7 Credential Manager. The problem is here when I want to login in Windows Authentication mode using SQL management studio like past, and I will get below Error: Cannot connect to [SERVER] Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. (.Net SqlClient Data Provider) Error Number: 18452 Severity: 14 State: 1 Line Number: 65536 I tried that registry solution (DisableLoopbackCheck=0x01 this thread), but no luck with that. I have checked the outgoing packets when I click on connect, and I found out that SQL management studio tried to send my local windows credential instead of Server 2008 saved credential. I don't want to login in SQL Mode, and also I don't want to convert my server to Domain controller. Is there any other solution with this issue? Regards

Hi I have migrated to a new computer using Windows 7, 6 gig memory, I7 chip (old machine had xp) and have installed Visual Studio 2008 and  SQL Server 2008 R2.  I get CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 262) when I try to create a new database.  Other posts (example:http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/sqltools/thread/28fee0ed-c7e2-40df-8f79-f513c9848f09/) work for Vista but I cannot find how to grant permissions.  Run as administrator (vista fix) does not work. I have admin privaleges on my machine.  There are no other accounts.    What do I need to do to update privaleges? Thanks and have a nice day.

Microsoft.NET version 3.0 Install Error: Installation failed for Windows Communication Foundation. M

Please help! I've been trying for the last day and a half to properly install Microsoft.NET version 3.5 so that I can install TurboTax and do my taxes. I was only on version 1.1. Multiple tries to upgrade to 3.5 was giving me a code 1603 error on install on "Microsoft.NET version 2.0a". I followed advice from forums here and elsewhere to uninstall and reinstall my prior versions. I also used Windows Install Cleanup before reinstalling. I keep getting to the same result when I try to go from version 2.0 to version 3.5. In my last attempt, I went all the way back to version 1.0 and installed each step up to 2.0 SP1 with (allegedly) no problems. This last time I decided to upgrade to 3.0 instead of going right to 3.5. Now I get the following error message: [04/03/10,04:07:14] Windows Communication Foundation: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Windows Communication Foundation. Error installing SQL Server 2008 R2 on a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 machine

HI all, I'm installing the Developer edition of MS SQL Server 2008 R2 (downloaded today) on a Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit virtual machine (using VMWare Workstation 6.5).  Yesterday I had tried MS SQL Server 2008 R0 with the same results.  Both give an error about 30% into the installation process: "An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'VSLangProj80,Version="8.0.0.0",PublicKeyToken="b03f5f7f11d50a3a",Culture="neutral",FileVersion="8.0.50727.1826"' When I click the OK button, the install rolls that last bit back and then continues.  Unfortunatly I didn't take a screenshot of the main install window, just the error window. Any ideas what this error means?  The install yesterday seemed to work, but I'm not through the R2 install yet.  The R0 install also failed to install the documentation for some reason (I left it running during the night) Note that I have VS2010 (original release plus downloaded updates) installed and then just some small stuff like Snagit and Skype on this VM.  I updated Windows 7 completely before I started installing R2 so it is completely up to date as of midnight!
