Showing Designer error for Silverlight App when trying to access resource which contains code e.Resu

Environment is: Silverlight 4, VS Studio 2010. Designer is showing error in a Silverlight App when trying to access a resource as below. And there are no build or runtime errors. Extensive research found that, in the "InvestorsProvider" class I am using wcf services, which has a callback method. In the call back method I am using this statement "this.MyProperty = e.Result" where e.Result is ObservableCollection. If I remove the e.Result it is not showing any designer problem. <UserControl.Resources> <local:InvestorsProvider x:Name="investorsProvider"></local:InvestorsProvider> </UserControl.Resources> Here is the error System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException [Async_ExceptionOccurred]Arguments: Debugging resource strings are unavailable. Often the key and arguments provide sufficient information to diagnose the problem. vs2010 silverlight designer error

Hi all,

After installing Visual Studio 2010 and Silverlight Tools for VS 2010, I tried to generate a new Silverlight project and got an error in the xaml designer.

None of the .xaml files generated by VS can be opened in design mode.

I have the KB30319.348 installed. The error is reproduced below:

TCP Error Code 10060 when attempting to access WCF Service hosted by WIndows Service from client run

Hello all,

We have a Framework 3.5 WCF Service which is in turn hosted in a Windows Service using Net.Tcp Binding. SvcUtil is used to generate the proxy which is used instead of a service reference in the client code. We are also using Tcp Port Sharing. The endpoint address is net.tcp://HostMachineName/MyServicePath. The service logs to the Event log and everything works perfectly on the same machine.

When attempting to run the client from a different machine we are getting TCP Error Code 10060 errors. Below is the error message:

System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException: Could not connect to net.tcp://HostMachineName/MyServicePath. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:20.8592415. The IP Address displayed was the correct IP Address for the HostComputerName.

Has anyone encountered this problem? Also, client specs say no config files, so anything that wo

Error showing subreport... due to user access?

I am experiencing a strang issue in SSRS 2005.

a) I have a MainReport that contains a SubReport and I deploy these up into Report Manager into a folder called MyFolder.

b) MyFolder has restricted access so only I can access it via ReportManager.

c) I ceate a linked report for each report: LinkedMainReport and LinkedSubReport and move these linked reports into a folder called YourFolder.

d) YourFolder is restricted to a Windows AD group... called ManagerGroup.

e) Report Manager folder structure now looks like this:

MyFolder (my access only)
- MainReport (original report)
- SubReport (original report.. and set to be hidden)

YourFolder (ManagerGroup and my access)
- LinkedMainReport
- LinkedSubReport (set to be hidden)

f) Security from the folders is applied to each report and link report by default.

g) ManagerGroup contains say 3 users: Homer, Lisa and Bart.

Homer and Bart can run the report "YourFolder -> LinkedMainReport" without any problems.  The main report and subreport embedded within it run fine.  The problem I have is when Lisa runs the same report "YourFolder -> LinkedMainReport" she sees the main report but gets the "Error showing subreport" message where the subreport is usually display
