Possible .Net bug?

Posted By:      Posted Date: December 04, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

Not sure if iv put this in the right section.

This appears to be a bug iv come across, im hoping someone might have some information about this?

When attemping the code below, only when trying to retreive the table by its name do you recieve null every time.

Iv done testing around this in multiple ways and always with the same outcome.

It only appears to fail when locating the table using its name.

String connString = "<Connection string to SQL>";

SqlConnection sqlConn = new SqlConnection(connString);

ServerConnection conn = new ServerConnection(sqlConn);

Server thisServer = new Server(conn);

thisServer.Databases[<databaseName>].Tables[<indexID>]; //this would return the found table

thisServer.Databases[<databaseName>].Tables[<tableNameAsString>]; //this returns null

Can anyone shed some light on this.

We've had multiple developers checking this in their own ways and everyone seems to get null.
