Missing Labels in Chart

Posted By:      Posted Date: December 04, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

I have a line chart that has several series, and it routinely leaves off 1 or 2 point labels on the last X-axis.

Is anyone else experiencing this?  If so, does anyone know what the cause is, and is there a fix?

Missing labels in chart bar the X axis

Hi All

I have a report with a bar chart. Within each category of the bar chart I have 3 bars that are compared with each other.

The problem is that not all the categories labels are shown, even though there is enough free space on the axis (the font is very small).

Can I configure the chart thus all the values will apear?

Thank you.

Missing Points in Chart Series

Okay so I have 3 series that are created from Cross Table Data Bind. Unfortunately some of the points are missing. Is there an algorithm I can use to cycle through the datapoints for each series and insert empty points to the correct spots so that my data is displayed correctly?

Pie chart - overlapping labels?

I have a pie chart that has overlapping labels. I want the labels to display text plus the value, which I have working. However, not all of the labels are outside of the pie chart area, and thus are overlapping. Also, how can I set the pie chart to take up more room within the chart itself?   Here's a URL to see my chart:  http://i34.tinypic.com/23kt0sw.jpg

X-axis labels missing: SSRS 2005

Hi, I have a single line chart in a list, with hourly intervals on the X-axis. The generated report has a number of charts displayed, one for each group in the list. For some charts the X-axis labels depicting the hour are shown for all intervals. For others, I do not see the label for the first and last interval. The intervals are spaced out enough and there is no reason why SSRS may choose to not show a label because of a space constraint. Any idea why some labels along the x-axis are missing? Thanks, Yash

Chart Control 3.5 - X-axis Labels

I have a fairly basic line graph which is bound to a SQLDataSource control.  The graph displays perfectly, but I want the labels on the X-axis to display vertically rather than horizontally.I have used the following code to try and do this but it is having no effect:<AxisX Title="Patient Safety Submissions" IsLabelAutoFit="True">    <LabelStyle Angle="90" interval="1" /></AxisX>Can anyone help? Here is the complete code for my chart:<asp:Chart ID="chrtHHcompliance" runat="server" DataSourceID="sqlHHcompliance" Width="1000px">                    <Titles>                        <asp:Title Font="Microsoft Sans Serif, 12pt, style=Bold, Underline"                                    Name="Title1" Text="Hand Hygiene Weekly Percentage Compliance">                 &nbs

mschart line chart x- labels

How do I force mschart to display all X- labels? Let's say we have 10
grid in X-, mschart only displays 5 of them. Even I specified the
Chart1.ChartAreas[0].AxisX.LabelStyle.Angle = -90; and specified chart
width to a large number, the mschart still didn't display all labels.

Any ideas?

Line chart Category Axis labels not displaying

I've got a few series of data (counts) that I've summed by month and year. So, the data looks like

Value 'June 2010' 'July 2010', ....

Open       3                5  ...

Closed     6                10....

I've got a line chart of this data. The issue I have is on the category axis, I have the months as the value. However, only a couple of the 12 months are being displayed. The chart is populating properly, but I want every month to list out on the category axis. How can I do this, since my category type is a string? What should I set the interval, etc. to? This seems pretty basic, so I must be missing something simple.

SSRS 2008 R2 - Line chart labels - visibility based on expression?

I would like to control the visibility of a data label in a line chart using an expression. For example, I have a requirement to show the data label for two compariable data points in a line chart where the horizontal axis is time (Q1, Q2, Q3, etc...) and the data points are determined based on a selected parameter. The basic idea is that a user can select to view Q3 as the end point of reporting and the chart will graph a complete time line (e.g. FY 2001 thru FYXX Q3) but only show the label for Q3 and prior year Q3.

I have tried to build an expression in the visibility property of 'Chart Series Labels' but this does not appear to work.

Chart Control doesn't show all labels

I'm trying to create a very simple Column chart.

There are 10 items in X axis, but chart shows only 3 of their labels.

For clarification, I'm trying to show Product sales count in chart. There are 10 products. In X axis, chart shows 10 products but, only 3 of them has a label for product name.

It should be a setting for this, bu I couldn't find it.

Thanks in advance

MS Chart Control ( Does not display all labels in X Axis - Column Chart )

Any one give me idea about to fix this problem..

VS2010 Professional Toolbox tab "Data" Chart is missing

I installed VS2010 professional on on a clean Windows 7 laptop.

I opened VS2010 and selected an existing Framework 3.5 project solution that I knew used charting. The conversion wizard seemed OK. However, on the Toolbox under the Data tab, there is no entry for "Chart" as several sources suggest this where it should be. There is also an error message objecting to "Imports System.Windows.Forms.DataVisulaization.Charting". Can anyone please tell me what I have to do to put this right? Is it a missing dll?

Conditionally Hide Percentage Labels on a 100% Stacked Bar Chart SSRS

I have searched for answers on this topic and the only ones I can find are for pie charts.  What I'd like to do is hide the point labels (percentages) on a 100% stacked bar chart when the percentage is below .05%, otherwise the labels are very cluttered and difficult to read.  I have tried to write an expression to do this, however, since the percentage calculation goes on behind the scenes I cannot find a way to refer to this value.  In addition, I am using #.## "%" for my formatting and am wondering if there is a way to remove the % sign when the label is hidden. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Leader lines for Pie Chart Labels? (2008 R2)

Wondering if it's possible to have the value labels associated with each Series to have leader lines when I've set the labels to be outside the Pie Chart? In Excel this is a simple check box option but I don't see anything in the Chart Series Labels properties that would allow/enable this.

Content Query Web Part missing in SharePoint 2010

If you don't see content query web part listed in the web parts list, this is because you have not enabled "Search Server Web Parts" feature in site collection features. Enable this feature and content query web part will show in the list of web parts.

Chart Tutorial

The AxisTitle class declares properties that define the common appearance settings of a title which is displayed by a particular axis.

Properties exposed via the AxisTitle class allow you to customize common title attributes, such as:

* the axis title's text (Title.Text),
* the color and font settings of the title's text (TitleBase.TextColor and TitleBase.Font),
* apply antialising (smoothing) to the title's text (TitleBase.Antialiasing),
* the alignment of the axis title (Alignment),
* the visibility of the axis title (TitleBase.Visible).
