Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel, Version=14.0.0.0 issue

Hello Friends,

I just got a new computer. Running VS2008 professional with MS Office 2010 on a Win 7 64-bit machine...

I am using the Excel in my Web Site (NOTE: It is not a Web App so I do not have a csproj file in there)

I am getting this error on my Windows 2003 Web servers (I have 2 of them):

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

I am assuming this has something to do with MS Office 2010 (office 2003 is installed on the servers)

Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel dll files from my directory and picked the version 11. This error message still comes up.

Please HELP!!!! Thanks

ISA Server 2004: Developing an Application Filter for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration S

The beta version of Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 is now publicly available. It includes a rich SDK with several extensibility mechanisms that allow third parties to integrate their specialized solutions on top of the ISA platform. In this article, the author explores the application filter extensibility mechanism, which enables you to add high-level application layer filtering capabilities to ISA Server and to provide rich content filtering solutions. He also highlights the new features of the ISA Server 2004 SDK, then moves on to describe how to develop a basic application filter that monitors all data going through the ISA Server, and how to integrate a filter into the ISA Server management console to create a seamless interface experience for your users.

.NET Interop: Get Ready for Microsoft .NET by Using Wrappers to Interact with COM-based Applications

Very soon, the development of Microsoft .NET applications will require interaction between those apps and existing COM components on both the client and the server. The .NET Framework has made provisions for this interaction by implementing various wrappers for COM objects to allow exposure of their properties and methods to .NET components. These wrappers will make it easy to make the connection between COM and .NET. After discussing wrappers, this article discusses other ways for .NET components to take part in COM+ transactions. To top off the tutorial on the interoperation of COM and .NET, the article discusses how ActiveX containers can host .NET controls, and how .NET containers can host ActiveX controls.

Using Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint

Hi, Im writing a web application  that uses Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint. When I execute the application from VS 2008 it works fine. I have a .pptx template, I create an instance of PowerPoint, then I open the Presentation, add a Slide and finally I add an excel file as an OLE Object. The code that I'am using is something like this:Imports Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint Imports PowerPoint = Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint Dim objPowerPoint As PowerPoint.Application Dim objPresentacion As PowerPoint.Presentation Dim objDiapositiva As PowerPoint.Slide objPowerPoint = New PowerPoint.Application objPowerPoint.Visible = Microsoft.Office.Core.MsoTriState.msoCTrue objPresentacion = objPowerPoint.Presentations.Open("File.pptx") objDiapositiva = objPresentacion.Slides.Add(1, PowerPoint.PpSlideLayout.ppLayoutBlank) objDiapositiva.Shapes.AddOLEObject(10, 10, , , , "ExcelFile.xlsx") objDiapositiva = Nothing But when I want to execute the application from my localhost I get an error in the AddOLEObject method, the error is something like: HRESULT E_FAIL of a COM component call I don't know what is the problem because from VS 2008 it works fine but from localhost it does not work, all in the same computer. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

When attempting to install "Security Update Microsoft for the Microsoft 2007 Office system updates (updates KB2277947 and KB982331)" the sintallation fails and then I recieve the error "The detection failed, this can be due to a corrupted installation database". System Info: XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3 Intel Atom CPU N270 @ 1.60 GHz I am running XP and have installed and run the "Fit It" tool, to no avail. I even tried downloading each update individually, from the Microsoft site, instead of through the automatic update. I also read this same question posted by another user (link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/thread/cfa66cd3-2aa2-44ee-9393-ffae41d4f70c/) only to find his info contained no answer either. WCF - Apache Rampart Interop Issue

Hi all, First of all, I would like to say that I am a Java developer and yet have no experience or knowledge about .Net or WCF. Recently, I had to develop an Axis2/Rampart client to a service written in WCF. ** Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll - Do I need Excel installed?? **

Hi,I have a VB.Net app which creates an Excel report.  This is all working fine on my development boxwhich turns out to have MS Office 2003 installed.  The app works fine.  I added a reference toMicrosoft Excel 11.0 Object Library under the COM tab when I did the "Add Reference".  I also copiedthe Interop.Excel.dll to my BIN folder. The server that I need to deploy my app to does not have MS Office or Excel installed.  I ran the appanyway just to see if it would worked.  Of course, it failed with this error:Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {00020820-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80040154.Do I need to have Excel installed on the target machine?  I took a copy of "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll"from the GAC on the DEV box and installed on the GAC on the target machine.  Tried the app again and stillfailed with the same error.  I really don't want to install Excel if I don't have to.  Can someone please providesome help on this?Thank you in advance!
