Please guide and help me.

On opening a form in this mdi parent this lable should appear on back side of newly opened form  but on showing a child form label appears in front of newly opend form (appears like newly opened form is between label and mdi parent).
How to manage it please guide me.

Delphi Win32 MDI Parent with C# Windows Forms child form

I have created an assembly containing a form that i want created as a MDI child form in a Delphi Win32 application's MDI parent control. I can create the .NET form fine from my Delphi code. I can even use the Delphi window handle to let my .NET form be a child in the Win32 application by using the SetParent API. However minimizing the child form makes it disappear (instead of the regular minimize action for MDI children), and it also doesn't cause the MDI container to get scroll bars when you drag the child form under the edge of the MDI container. I have the feeling that the child form is not yet correctly aware that it is a MDI child. For instance, its MdiParent property is null. And i read somewhere that i might need to call some more Win32 API"s to hook everything up correctly. I can't, however, for the life of me not find which ones to call, and where to do it. Is there anyone here that is well versed in hooking up managed Windows Forms with native Win32 applications that can lend a helping hand?

Javascript to pass var in iframe to parent form

Why doesn't this form work when the button is clicked? It is inside an iframe. I sent the controls to an iframe from  a different website. When I hover my mouse over the Resubmit button, I can see the correct url in my browser bar. (lower left) This is the same one as the save button. Does the fact that the Resbmit button is in an iframe create a problem?  Is this a security issue?   I was trying to use the Copy url to clipboard button to copy the selected url in the dropdown to the clipboard. Then the user could paste it into the Recipcocal url field in the form and click the Save button again. (see picture) The form is on the page with the iframe. The copy button doesn't work either.  <form name="ctl01" method="post" action="http://www.link-exchangers.com/adv_links_addbycustomer.aspx" id="ctl01" target="hdnFrm"> <div> <input type="hidden" name="__VIEWSTATE" id="__VIEWSTATE" value="/wEPDwUaUXIyTcD6f05q0zIbv4QVbpto4s=" /> </div> <div> <input type="hidden" name="__EVENTVALIDATION" id="__EVENTVALIDATION" value="//2DwKU+M6MDwK8m8+dCQKy8rjSBwLD+aWMBALcwYfHCALrp+eHDwKggI3ODAKvtqqBBgKjs8y4CAKqiLHeDgK34agCBNfAteTeI3XoiXVXjCs/J0yEnNM=" /> </div>

this.controls.add - not always adding to parent form

My current code (snippet below) iterates through user info and adds the same custom control to a form based on how many "Meals" (1-6) the user has selected.  It appears that all even # controls (the second, fourth and sixth) are added to the previously added control, rather than the parent form, when I later try to dispose the controls by iterating through this.controls, only 1, 3 and 5 appear, the others appear as children to 1, 3 & 5. I've reduced controls size, etc. to make sure they're not overlapping (if that can force inheritence?) but no luck.  Anyone have suggestions on what to look at or other guidance? public void drawMealPanel(Meal m, int x, int y) { Controls.MealDisplay md = new Controls.MealDisplay(m); md.Name = m.name; md.Tag = m.id.ToString(); md.Left = x; md.Top = y; md.DragDrop += new System.Windows.Forms.DragEventHandler(this.MealView_DragDrop); md.DragEnter += new System.Windows.Forms.DragEventHandler(this.MealView_DragEnter); this.Controls.Add(md); }

Passing return value from a Web Service to a label in a Form View

I am using JavaScript to call a web service. The JS is correctly receiving and passing the web service information. At the moment, the web service returns a country name as a string to a JavaScript alert pop up box as follows:ret = CountryRegionsWebService.GetTranslatedCountryShortName(ddl1_value, ddl2_value, OnComplete, OnTimeOut, OnError);function OnComplete(args) { alert(args); } I want to change this so that web service returns the country name to a label inside an insert item template of a form view. Is there a way to pass in the label variable to the OnComplete function signature and still account for the variable args?, such as: Server Side Declaration of JavaScript ddl2.Attributes.Add("onChange", "JavaScript:OnComplete('" + lab5.ClientID + "', '" + "args" + "');"); Client Side JavaScript function OnComplete(lab5_id, args) { var lab5 = document.getElementById(lab5_id); lab5.innerHTML = args; }

Form background images and memory usage

Hello everyone, please forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this post. I have written a Windows App in C#. It's a real small application (something like a widget) that stays on your desktop and shows pictures of a folder in a random sequence. Before showing another picture i use : this.BackgroundImage.Dispose(); so that i keep memory usage low. If i won't do that i can see memory rising (depends on the image size). Now the code i use to change the picture is : this.BackgroundImage = Image.FromFile(path, true); So my question is about this last line of code. Is this a good approach of changing the picture after a while? (this code runs in a loop) Should i care about memory usage? The form is a small one for this kind of app, so loading big and large pictures can have some issues i guess. I have been monitoring my app for some time , memory and cpu usage were really low but i would like to know another and better approach on this one if somoeone knows.  de_Stan

Need help on Main Form Open Child Form

Hi, I've 2 form which is frmA and frmB. frmA have a 1 button and 1 label named Button A and Label1. frmB have a 1 button named Button B. frmA is a Main Form. frmB is a Child Form for Form A. My objective is when frmB is closed, then Label1 in frmA showing the value. My code in frmA as follow public partial class frmA : Form { public frmA() { InitializeComponent(); } private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { frmB oFrm=new frmB(this); oFrm.ShowDialog(); } public void PerformRefresh() { label1.Text = DateTime.Now.ToLongDateString(); } } My code in frmB as follow, public partial class frmB : Form { frmA _owner; public frmB() { InitializeComponent(); } public frmB(frmA owner) { _owner = owner; this.FormClosed+=new FormClosedEventHandler(frmB_FormClosed); } private void frmB_FormClosed(object sender, FormClosedEventArgs e) { _owner.PerformRefresh(); } } At this level, i can call function in frmA from frmB after closed event. My problem is when Button A in frmA clicked, frmB not showing like frmB as per design. It's display a windows without Button B. I'm stuck. Really need help

User selectable background image for Form.

I have played around with the BackgroundImage option in C# and it works very well. My question is related to having the user select the image that will be the "Skin". Does anyone have or know where to find a good sample application that does something like this?

Thank you!

stop flickering when form child appear like normal window

I have created an application with a mdiParent and some mdichilds that when are opened they the forms are set like normal window and FormBorderStyle has value 'None'. When I call any child that is set like this, the application seems to flicker (it seems that for a very short time the child appear like a normal window wit the title bar and minimize, maximize and close button) and very quick it's ok (the title bar is disapear and the child take his place on the mdiParent). But I want to stop this flickering it is very annoying.

Can somebody tell me how can I do that? I mention that I have created this application in dot.net

Thank you in advance

make form scroll itself to label that has become visible?

Passing values to the parent form

I have two forms, a parent and a child. When I close the child form I need to pass a (bool value?) to the parent form which indicates whether I want to close the parent form as well, or not.

How do I pass this value from the child form to the parent form? Or is there a better way to return a value to a parent form?

I’m using VS 2008 and C#

Kind regards
