I have a list, say called "Garages" with columns "Garage Name", "Number of Cars" and "Number of Red Cars". I have another list, "Cars" that has the fields "Registration", "Color" and a
lookup field of "Garage".
I can populate the "Number of Cars" that does a count of the number of cars which have a look up that points back to this garage (a not so widely publicized option in the web front end). However, the "Number of Red Cars" is not just a count,
it's more specific.
I was hoping I could create a SharePoint 2010 Designer workflow, that when an item is created/amended/deleted in the cars list, it re-counts the number of say red cars in garage XYZ, and updates the value of total red cars in the garages accordingly.
Does anyone know how to do this? (In SharePoint Designer rather than a custom event handler or other coded method). However, I can't see how to get a count of items from a list where column A = "abc".
