I am trying to figure out the best way to make a Sharepoint 2010 site available to company employees (i.e. with AD credentials), via the Internet. I am not interested in the kind of internet-facing use of Sharepoint that many seem to be asking about, where
it is for a public site accessible to the general public or anonymous users.
Rather, this would be more like the Remote Web Workplace feature found in Small Business Server or Essential Business Server, where a web page is published to the internet that only has username and password fields. Upon logging in with AD credentials,
the user sees the same Sharepoint home page they would have otherwise seen within the Lan if the were onsite (like Companyweb in Small Business Server).
Any suggestions or references to information about this scenario would be helpful in having my client decide whether they will purchase the product.
