How to Fix the Header in DVWP if list has scroll bar

I have a data view web part which displays a list column that allows multiple items to be selected from another list.  So in this column (in the actual list), the content in a particular cell is as follows:

6698; 1211; 3342; 1231; 1231

However, when I insert this field into the DVWP, the content above ends up losing all the spaces and so looks like this:

6698;1211;3342;1231;1231

I am not sure why this is happening, and plus some of the entries in this column are made up of a very long string of numbers.  Even if I control the width of the column, this long list only ever gets displayed on one line (i.e. width restriction is ignored), therefore my page is being displayed very wide.  I think this is happening because of the lack of spaces in the string, but am not sure.

Does anyone know what is going on here?

We're working with the WPF DataGrid and I have a question about  dragging column headers: The grid lets the user rearrange the columns, by dragging the column header left or right.  So far, so good. But, sometimes we have many columns, and only the first few columns are visible; so there is a horizontal scrollbar.  In such case, if the user drags a column header to the right edge of the DataGrid window, I want the DataGrid to scroll, automatically, one column at a time.  Is there an easy way to do that? (To be clear: yes, the user can already scroll horizontally by interacting with the horizontal scrollbar, but that isn't what I'm asking about.  I'm asking if the "drag a column header left or right" gesture can cause the DataGrid to scroll left or right.) I guess I could handle various low-level events, but it seems like it shouldn't be necessary -- DataGrid has so much functionality built-in, that I'm guessing it already has the ability to scroll when the user drags the column header to the edge.  So, is there either (a) a property that I can set, to tell the DataGrid to scroll when the user drags a column header to the edge of the window;  or (b) a code example showing how to achieve this effect myself?  Thanks!

Hi, Is it possiable to have Header a ASP.Net Listbox? Actually iam concatenating the text and adding it as an item. eg: str="01    Sameer      2009"; I want o/p like this Sno Name          Year 01  Sameer        2009 02  Anil               2008 07 Peter             2008   I want an efficeint way of doing these, not like ading header as first element with bol text. Hello to all, Today my senior told me to add functionality of Drag N Drop inside the GridView then i googled it and i found that Reorder List is the Same control i am looking for. But after doing Analysis on that i found that these templates are there in ReOrder List Control DragHandleTemplate EditItemTemplate EmptyListTemplate InsertItemTemplate ItemTemplate ReorderTemplate Its same as gridview or listview control but its dosent support paging in that.But i am not able to found Header Template inside that Control.   So Can any 1 Tell me how can i add header Template inside ReOrder List so Each Column will have its Rows. My sample example 1 Column is Eating all my columns and the rest of the columns are blank. I am looking any solution for this.   Waiting for a Solution   Regards    

I can't seem to find a way to hide the column header of a list view web part.  Is it possible?  It appears that OOB the only list that doesn't show the column header in web parts is the Link List.

I have a list box with only item (a Image), its an observable collection , and that gets updated very often,

But if the previous source  was scrolled to the bottom,

 the new source is  also scrolled to the bottom,I want the new source to  scroll to the top evey time its changed

hi, i am having sharepoint 2010 Enterprise RTM trial on Windows server 2008 SP2. I wanted to know how a column header of a list in List View Webpart can be hide ?

In the same code, pasted above if I want to display rating control using xslt list view webpart what I need to write.

I have created few xslt list view webparts for my site but I am not able to display rating control using xslt. I am writing something like this

<xsl:apply-templates select="$Fields[@Name='AverageRating']" mode="PrintField">
              <xsl:with-param name="thisNode" select="."/>
              <xsl:with-param name="Position" select="$Position"/>
            </xsl:apply-templates>

But for this I think i need to include some parameter or any particular template. Using the above type of code in xslt this is not working. I do not want to display table header row. Please guide me on this.
