Cannot upload administrator approved template InfoPath 2007 form: error "The 'ResetWebServerModeOnU

Posted By:      Posted Date: December 04, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

I've tried uploading several administrator approved InfoPath 2007 forms (including a totally blank form) to MOSS 2007 server, and all of the forms return an error on upload:

"Solution manifest for solution 'e38fa6a4-56ad-4d92-b87d-0e73bb5162ff' failed validation, file manifest.xml, line 2, character 84: The 'ResetWebServerModeOnUpgrade' attribute is not declared."

I've looked at the source files of the form, and can't find the 'ResetWebServerModeOnUpgrade' property in any of those files. I've searched and haven't come across anything mentioning this issue. I found an MSDN article explaining what 'ResetWebServerModeOnUpgrade', but I have no idea how to get that entry into the form. This is the only way to publish this form because of a specific data connection, so just publishing into the site directly from InfoPath is not an option.

MOSS 2007 32bit Farm (1 app/web, 1 SQL, both Server 2003), Oct 2010 CU's installed
InfoPath 2007 set to web compatible
Attempted upload via Central Administration > Application Management > Manage Form Templates > Upload Form Template
Tried both options in that menu & "Verify" passes
I have full admin rights to the farm.

Attachment upload error on browser based InfoPath form

I am having an interesting problem with browser based InfoPath forms in SharePoint 2007.  For some reason the file attachment control is not working any more.  It was working fine in July, but now it will not allow file attachments over a few kb.  I tried a 34KB file and I get the error below, a 2KB file works fine.

Unable to connect to SQL Server session database. The connection string (server='SPDB', database='SharedServices1_DB') was returned by an instance of the IPartitionResolver type 'Microsoft.Office.Server.Administration.SqlSessionStateResolver, Microsoft.Office.Server, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c'.   at System.Web.SessionState.SqlSessionStateStore.ThrowSqlConnectionException(SqlConnection conn, Exception e)

The URL is not valid error while publishing InfoPath form to MOSS 2007 server

Hi All,   When I try to publish the form onto a SharePoint Team site it throws the error: The following URL is not valid : http://tcs037288:6543/sites/projectmanagement   I have checked the comaptibility, trust and everything looks fine. Also, I tried to upload this template from Central Admin but there it is failing with browser-compatibility errors.       Regards,

Infopath 2007 form error - Selected file is too large

We are using Inforpath form to capture some metadata along with couple of file attachments. We implemented that and its working fine

When we tested by trying to upload file more than 5 MB we got the following error

"The selected file is too large and is causing the form to exceed the amount of allowable resources. Select Another File"

During its analysis we found that this can be resolved by changing one of the "Infopath forms service " configuration named "Maximum size of form session state".

Is there any issue (like performance issues) in increasing this limit to allow us to upload the large attachment

In other words

In the Maximum size of form session state text box, type the maximum session state size in kilobytes. Form-filling sessions that exceed this value will terminate, an error message will be generated, and all form data entered during the session will be lost. The default value is 4096 kilobytes.

If I make this value to 10240 kilobytes (10 MB) ; will this cause any performance issues ??

Using Upload Form Template in SP 2010 to upload IP Forms 2007 xsn

We are moving from MOSS 2007 to SP 2010. In Central Admin, I have gone to the Infopath Forms Services --> Manage form templages page and trying to upload a .xsn file. This infopath form was built in IP 2007. The error is

very vague: This operation is not allowed at this time.

The account I am logged in as is a Farm Administrator.

In the ULS logs, these errors appear...

Submtting Calendar items with variable date information via InfoPath 2007 form

I've seen several posts regarding submitting to a list using and InfoPath form which I am successfully able to do in limited form. (only passing a basic date value) My environment: MOSS 2007 Enterprise w/SP2, InfoPath 2007, SPD 2007.

I'm basically trying to recreate a calendar form with the same data elements (and some additional ones for a specific business requirement) as the standard calendar newform.aspx form. (start time, end time broken down by date, hour, minute and All day event)

I need the form users to be able to select the date and if it is not an All day event...be able to select the hours and minutes just like on the newform.aspx. (date picker control for date and drop downs for hour and minute selection)

On submit I then need to create the list item with the appropriate data passed via a workflow.

My Start Time has a validation rule to not allow dates prior to the current date (and it can't blank) The End Time has a validation rule to not allow dates prior to what is specified as the Start Time value. (Also can't be blank) When I attempt to include conditonal formatting to hide the hour and minute drop downs if 'All Day Event' is selected I get errors stating the fields can't be blank.

I also can't figure out how to pass the entire date/time values or the All Day Event to the list withou

Issue in Infopath 2007 browser form - cascading dropdown using owssvr.dll filter view

Referring the below link, I created a cascading dropdown. The parent dropdown has sharepoint list as datasource and the child dropdown has xml datasource that points to owssvr.dll filter view. The cascading drop down works fine in preview but throws error after publishing as admin approved form - "form cannot run the specified query" exception when trying to execute xml datasource i.e., when a value is selected in parent dropdown. The security is 'Full Trust". In the event viewer the error message states "401 unauthorised" for the user a/c. the xml data source is an approved udcx file and in central admin, have enabled cross domain for infopath service. I have tried different solution provided in tech forums but issue still exists. Not sure whether Im missing something. Can someone guide me in fixing this issue?

wss2.0 Infopath 2007 'This form requires connections to data sources when it is loaded. At least on

Hi all

I have a user who receives the error 'This form requires connections to data sources when it is loaded. At least one of these connections is not available. As specified by the form designer, this form will not open' when trying to Submit an infopath form located on a WSS2.0 site.

The user has been having this issue since upgrading to Office 2007 and IE7. I have had the user run an Office Diagnostics but this has not resolved the issue.

I am not aware of any other users experiencing this issue.

Any ideas please?

Deploying InfoPath 2007 form to WSS 3.0 as browser enabled

Please Help! I've created an Infopath form and wanted to deploy the form as browser enabled to WSS 3.0? What are the different options I can do this? If i cannot use a form then i would like to  create a custom list with all the form fields but the user should be able to enter information in the list and he should see only the information related to him. I don't want to give access of the whole list to each and every user. Only the administrator should be able to see the whole list. The form was actually a user access request form.

Any help and suggestions is appreciated.

Infopath form - browser error client error

I am facing a problem with browser enabled infopath form. I have developed this in infopath 2007. I have few fields in a repeating table. It contains Number of units, qty , subtotal and total. Total is sum of all sub totals and Sub total is  multiplication of units and qty. When I opened the form in browser and insert new item in repeating table then I am not getting my subtotal and total updated. I am getting those for only first row. other rows are not working. This is working with infopath client.  Please help me out..

Error when activating Infopath form deployed as a feature

I've packaged a form as a feature and created the appropriate WSP file for it.  i then deployed this feature to a target system using the following commands: @SET STSADM="C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN\STSADM" @ECHO OFF ECHO Retract Solution %STSADM% -o retractsolution -n "Crown.SharePoint.CAPEXForm.wsp" -immediate ECHO ====== %STSADM% -o execadmsvcjobs ECHO Remove Solution %STSADM% -o deletesolution -n "Crown.SharePoint.CAPEXForm.wsp" -override ECHO ====== %STSADM% -o execadmsvcjobs ECHO Adding Solution %STSADM% -o addsolution -f "Crown.SharePoint.CAPEXForm.wsp" ECHO ====== %STSADM% -o execadmsvcjobs ECHO Deploying Solution %STSADM% -o deploysolution -n "Crown.SharePoint.CAPEXForm.wsp" -immediate -allowgacdeployment -force ECHO ====== %STSADM% -o execadmsvcjobs The deployment process completes without errors, and when I check under Central Admin > Solution Mgmt, my feature is there and shows as "Deployed/Globally Deployed".  So all looks good at this time. However, when I go to the Site Collection and try to activate the feature I get this error -- any ideas what may be going on here or what I'm missing?
