I have googled and searched for a way to change the links (remove and or edit) shown below:

Posted at 4:05 PM by THETEST\Administrator | Category: Category 1 | Permalink | Email this Post | Comments (0)

I got as far as changing the views for the Posts list, I un checked the Comment field. It still shows up, so I opend all of the views and unchecked the Comment field and it is still there. Do i need to approve the view? I have tried to see where the view is pending but I cannot.

Anyone have any ideas that can help me?

Thanks for your help.

Sharepoint Blog Post List Renaming in onet.xml

Ihave created a Site definition and added a Posts Listview in the same.

<View List="$Resources:core,lists_Folder;/$Resources:core,blogpost_Folder;" BaseViewID="10" WebPartZoneID="Left" WebPartOrder="1"/>

This list is created using my own schema.xml which i have copied from the Blog site template.

I wanted to rename the title of the list [not Title field] which is coming to be Posts right now.

Is there anyway to do it?

Any help appreciated

How to remove conflict between Sharepoint 2010 Post Cache Substitution and Response.Filter

Under SharePoint 2007 (Win Server 2008, SQL 2008) we made use of Response.Filter to meet certain requirements for accessibility to remove certain markup or add to markup that was missing attributes, etc. When we upgraded to SharePoint 2010 we get the following error message from the pages, unless we remove the use of Response.Filter: "Post cache substitution is not compatible with modules in the IIS integrated pipeline that modify the response buffers.  Either a native module in the pipeline has modified an HTTP_DATA_CHUNK structure associated with a managed post cache substitution callback, or a managed filter has modified the response." I have found several posts including this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2014472 that explains that it is definately a problem, but no one has an alternative solution to using the Response.Filter, and the article doesn't say how to disable the use of Post Cache Substitution. So, my question is how do I turn off the use of Post Cache Substitution in SharePoint 2010, or how can I alter the final markup of the page "After" the substitution happens?  Or, if it is a control or three that are using Post Cache Substitution, which one(s) so that I can remove them.

If you've got a programming blog, chances are you'll want to post some code snippets. Posting code sounds easy but it's surprisingly tricky if you consider all the ways that people will be reading your blog. There's a number of ways. Here's a few and their pros and cons . Copy Paste from your IDE (like Visual Studio, for example) If I copy paste directly from VS into my editor of choice, Windows Live Writer, I'll get a <pre> section. using System; namespace WindowsGame1 { #if WINDOWS || XBOX     static class Program     {         /// <summary>         /// The main entry point for the application.        ...(read more)

SharePoint Blog - Disabling or redirecting hyperlink of username who posted

Is there anyway to disbale the username of the poster? For example, when a post is created the next line displays by username on 10/6/2010 3:00pm. I've seen other Sharepoint blogs where this is disbled.

If cannot be disable is there any way to redirect to a different url when the hyperlink is clicked? I know this has to be done with div.ms-postfooter, but can't find any info anywhere.

Link to launch MS Word for editing a blog post

Is there anyway you can launch Word from the browser to edit a particular blog post? I've created a blog site and I know how to use MS Word to publish to that blog site.

I know there's button on the Word ribbon saying "Open Existing" that will allow me to select and edit an existing post, but I'd like to approach it in reverse.

If I'm on the site browsing on different posts, I'd like a button or a link on that page. Clicking on that link, I'd like Word to automatically open up that particular blog post in edit mode. I think it should be possible, but just not sure how. On the main page, there's link called "Launch blog program to post" which opens up Word to post a new blog.

Any suggestions?
