I need to deliver source code to client and my boss need to remove all the comments and #region sections from the whole web site source code.
So is there any functionality available in visual studio 2010 or may be in an other 3rd party tool available to do so, which can remove all the #region from all over the source code ?
Otherwise my developers has to do donkey work.... :(( and I don't wish it.
Any help or tips/tricks would be appreciated.
I have a web application that is actually installed as a component of a third party site. In some configurations, I need to remove certain connection strings and re-add them. I'm replacing this web.config section with a xml file that includes the following:
<connectionStrings> <remove name="MyOverridenConnection"/> <add connectionString="Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=MyDb;Data Source=MyServer" name="MyOverridenConnection" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/> </connectionStrings>
For some reason the remove tag is left out during the substitution and I end up with the following in the installed config:
<connectionStrings> <add connectionString="Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=MyDb;Data Source=MyServer" name="MyOverridenConnection" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/> </connectionStrings>
Is there any way to issue removes in replaced sec

Anyone know how to remove html-formatted-string to plain text programatically?
I want to get the same result as if i ctrl+a in a browser's page and then ctrl+v in a notepad.
I was googled how to strip html string, but didn't find the good result.
Removing tag using regex: "<(.|\n)*?>" causes some problems:
* The html-table is not nicely converted to tabbed plain text. It produces *crazy* table in plain text.
* the html-alternate-image lost
* the list ( <ul> & <ol> ) is not conveted well. No numbering or bullets in plain text

I have this issue i have been looking at for a while and cant seem to figure it out. I have two ddl's on my page and a InsertCommand from sqldatasource. My InsertCommand is actually updating the foreign key of the two ddl's in another table. When i click on my button it shows two numbers instead of one.
The challenging thing now is that i have
after the insert so it would not duplicate what i am updating. If i take this statement out of my code. it updates well as in showing the one record that was updated. if i put it back in there it shows two records where updated. I tested my sql statement and its working fine meaning it shows only one record is updating. Could you possibly know whats wrong.
Thanks in Advance
This seems like a straightforward request, but I can't find out how to do this. I need to remove a custom web part that is showing up in the Add Web Part dialog box when I go to add a web part to a SharePoint 2007 page. However, I do
not want to uninstall this web part at this time. How can I prevent it from showing up as an installable web part?
I'm using an autocomplete contol of ajax toolkit. Yesterday a user found that it had stopped working (it wasn't generating the list as you type letters in the textbox). After hours of troubleshooting, I found that in web.config <httpHandlers>, this line -- <remove verb="*" path="*.asmx" /> was placed after the <add> line like this:
<httpHandlers> <add verb="*" path="*.asmx" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=22.214.171.124, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/> <add verb="*" path="*_AppService.axd" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=126.96.36.199, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/> <add verb="GET,HEAD" path="ScriptResource.axd" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler, System.Web.Extensions, Version=188.8.131.52, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" validate="false"/> <remove verb="*" path="*.asmx"/> </httpHandlers>
I fixed the problem by removing the <remove> line, but it seems I can also fix the problem by placing the <remove> line b
I have many controls on my form, but in particular, I have 2 dropdownlists. 1 dropdown list has 2 values, and each value controls what the second dropdownlist displays. This is an edititemtemplate and both dropdowns have the selecteditem set via '<%# Bind("fieldname") #>' on page load.
THe problem is, if I change the value of the first dropdown, it errors out because the second dropdwon has a bound value that is no longer acceptable.
Can I cancel the bind of the second control, if the the first one is changed? I would like to cancel the bind, and update the values by using a different datasource depending on the value of the first dropdown or hardcode the new values.
If Dropdown1 has a value of "A" for example Dropdown 2 Shows Values "1", "2", "3"
If Dropdown 1 has a value of "B" , Dropdown2 Shows Values "4", "5", "6".
It binds fine initially, but if I change Dropdown1 from A to B, I want Dropdown2 to show the new values, maybe with a default of "Select an Item" and not error out b/c it's attempts to bind a value of 1, 2, or 3.
Hope this makes sence, b/c I'm
Hi, I have an asp.net website that requires users to login using their Active Directory credentials. All users of the website have AD accounts. Some of the users are at remote locations and share a common computer login (I know this is not recommended but it is what it is, I have no say in that). Every so often a user will log into my website and click the Remember Passwod box which causes the next person that comes along to not be prompted to log in. All users are on IE 7. I have tried having them go into tools and deleting the cookies, saved passwords, etc but when they go to my website they are still not being prompted to log in. I have recently migrated to IIS 7 and I understand there is a way to have the user enter the site through a custom form but I have not gotten that far yet. How can I make sure the users password is removed from IE? Thanks for any help.
