I am using Visual web developer 2008 Express.  I have a menu with a static top level and a dynamic second level.  When the dynamic level is displayed the background is always white.  How do I set the background and foreground colors for the dynamic menu level?

Command Management: Use Design Patterns to Simplify the Relationship Between Menus and Form Elements

In Windows Forms applications, similar commands, such as those in a menu and their counterparts on a toolbar, are not automatically related. They don't fire the same event or run the same handler routine. Yet code that allows the same or similar user commands to fire the same code simplifies development. This article describes the principles of command management and why it's important to have functional commands that are not exclusive to any one UI element. In order to provide an MFC-like command management infrastructure, a design pattern is developed and applied as a series of C# classes.

I am using Visual Web Developer 2008 Express.  I have a two level menu.  The top level is static and the second level is dynamic.  I have set the colors for the dynamic levels as foolows:   <DynamicMenuStyle Forecolor="Yellow" /> <DynamicMenuItemStyle Backcolor="#00840" /> This works perfectly when I run on my system under Windows Vista with Web Developer Version 9.0.3078429.4462 QFE but when I move it to my client's system which is running Windows XP Web Developer Version 9.0.30729.1, the dynamic portion comes up with a white box.  I've tried setting the DynamicStyleHoverMenu foreground and background colors, the DynamicMenuItemStyle foreground and background colors,  and the  DynamicMenuStyle foreground and background colors but the dynamic portion still comes up as a white box. Any suggestions?

New / Upload / Actions / Settings / View menus on a document library are hidden

I have a Document library. On the View Page (All Documents) for the Document library, I do not see the menu bar with the "New / Upload / Actions / Settings / View" menus. It looks like one of the users with owner permissions did something to cause this behavior. No custom code exists on the page. I am not sure how this menu bar can be hidden. Can someone please clarify. I am a site collection administrator.

Nobody Can Help With VS2008 Pro Debugger Disabling Step Menus?

Posted: http://forums.asp.net/t/1600590.aspx Repeated: This is a Web Forms Website Project using several Ajax controls I set some break points, then F5, IE loads the .aspx page of the C# source I am trying to debug but then the Solution Explorer opens and adds an item and tree of items labeled Script Documents > Windows Internet Explorer > MyPage.aspx and about a dozen ScriptResource.axd files (including jquery files from a library loaded using absolute referencing which I have commented out in code to determine if jQuery library was causing this wierd behavior). The Debug > Step menu selections are all greyed out and pressing any Function keys does nothing. I also recall script files loaded into IE which "looked" like I was stepping into and over or whatever but that has not been intentionally repeatable.

MOSS 2010: Fly out menus

Is there a trick to having nested hover-menus hidden correctly when entering a form.

I have nested hover-menus controls that I used to create an interactive menu.  After I use each control once, it works fine. but when I first enter the form, when I hover over the parent hovermenu, the others pop-up as well until I click on them once.  After that, each of them work fine.

What can I do to stop that from hapening

Firefox not displaying DropDown Menus?!?

Hello master ASP.net programmers. Here is a stumper for ya.

I have a masterpage that contains all my dropdown menu controls. The 2 largest browser hits on my site are IE and Firefox (in that order). I just recently updated to the latest version of Firefox and now... my dropdown menus no longer appear with Firefox but still do with IE.

There is nothing strange going on with my masterpage and it used to work fine in both IE and Firefox. Not too sure what is going on and can't seem to find anyone else who has posted on this subject.

I can post code if that will help. If you want to take a look at my website in your browser here it is: www.dialogcoach.com

I welcome any and all feedback.
