Error at the end of Approval workflow

Hi,

We have so many Approval workflows that have been running on different SharePoint site lists, document libraries etc., All these approval processes are running fine with out any issue but in the Workflow History for all of them, it is logging the final step as

Date Error System Account An Error has occurred on the so and so workflow.

This is a common error that has been showing up under workflow history from a while for all the workflows. As it is actually not interrupting the approval process, no problem so far but the recently some business users with Full access to their prospective sites saw this and are complaining that it may be a glitch. Does anyone got any idea on this error message and how to fix this?

Error customizing Approval Workflow in SharePoint Designer

Unknown error while adding Approval workflow

I created a list and tried to assign out of the box Approval workflow to it. On add a workflow screen I selected Approval as the workflow template, selected to create new task list and workflow history list, and selected to start workflow when a new item is created in start options. When I click next it says Unknown Error. I checked all workflows typesÃÂ are activated. I am not able to figure out what is causing this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

SharePoint Desinger 2010 approval workflow error

Hi,

I created a copy of the out-of-the-box globally reusable workflow titled, "Approval - SharePoint 2010."

I then modified the "Initiation Form Parameters" in the workflow copy that I created. By default, the "Show on Form" settting for these parameters - Approvers, Expand Groups, Request, Due Date for all Tasks, Duration per Task, Duration Units, CC is set to "Both" (i.e. show these parameters during Initiation and Association). I did not want to display these parameters during Initiation, as we don't want end-users to change these settings. I want them to be displayed during Association only. We want Administrators only to be able to configure these parameters.

So I changed the "Show on Form" setting for the above parameters to "Association (attaching to a list)." I am able to save the workflow. And when I click on "Check for Errors" no errors are reported. But when I attempt to publish the workflow, I get the following error:

Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files were saved but cannot be run. And when I click on the "Advanced" button in the error message, I see this detailed error:

Hi,

I created a Workflow with Nintex Workflow 2007 (on SharePoint 2007) to send/receive data to BizTalk 2009. It worked fine already. But now I get the following error mesage in the EventViewer:

Nintex Workflow; Build: 11000 (http://ls457/_layouts/nintexworkflow/BiztalkHandler.ashx)
No workflows are waiting for a BizTalk message with message Id of 'GeneralAccessRequest_2010-08-23T15_00_04_44961212B370C554EDFAC41C1201ED6CEFB' on teamsite http://ls457/sites/testapp. No processing has been done.

What could that mean? Any ideas? I definitely changed nothing on the orchestration or BizTalk administration. The BizTalk action sends the data correctly to it's destination (database), but it seems that nintex doesn't receive any return data. I don't think it's a BizTalk problem, because in the BizTalk Message Tracking Database the Message is listet, so it has been sent correctly by BizTalk. But the handler probably has problems to find/receive this message.

Serial approval workflow keeps running

I have a serial approval workflow created out of the box. The setting cancell this workflow when the document is rejected is selected. But if one of the approvers rejects it the workflow keeps running. After this is it will give acces denied errors for the other approvers.

So for example what is happening. The workflow is started and sends a email to persone 1. This persone approves so the workflow sends a email to persone 2. Persone 2 decided to reject the document. Now i want the workflow to be cancelled, but it keep running and sends a email to persone 3 for approval. If persone 3 opens the workflow he get's a acces denied error, i guess because of the reject.

Anyone has a idea what is happening here?

Error loading workflow services

Hello, I'm developing a service library using the new wf 4.0 and one of my requirements is that some activities have the ability to be resumed by a client, so i created a wcf resume service that could load a workflow definition and resume a bookmark of that workflow. One of the services i created was a flowchart that has a receive reply activites inside a sequence activity has a start point, after that i have another sequence that have another sequence, yes 2 sequence activities, and my custom activity that needs to be resumed by a client. The 2 nested sequence activites was a something i used only for testing, but if i had those 2 sequence activities nested i got an error when loading that workflow definition in my resume service: 'ObtemPareceres' is not of type 'Sequence'. When loading this instance you must ensure that the activity with name 'ObtemPareceres' implements 'Sequence'. The "ObtemPareceres" is my custom activity, and if i remove that second nested sequence everything works fine. Anyone has any idea of whats going where? thanksFrederico Regateiro

Workflow Approval Process

I have created a workflow for approval of a list. I have listed two persons who can approve/reject and item. My intent was to have either person be the appover. Sharepoint apparently see's it differently; they need both persons to approve before the item can be finalized as either rejected or approved. Is there a way to make it so that one of two people listed can approve a partiuclar workflow process?????? Thanks in advance, and yes, I am very, very new at this!

Any good Approval-type workflow tutorials for VS 2010?

Greetings. I'm looking for some good tutorials (or books) on creating SharePoint 2010 Approval workflows in Visual Studio 2010. I've spent a few hours digging through the search results on bing/google, but almost all of the examples (including content from Microsoft) show a very simple workflow in Visual Studio 2010 that doesn't contain approval steps. I am looking for a more comprehensive tutorial on how to build a workflow that contains approval steps and evaluates the column values (i.e. evaluate a list column if(Total Cost > 10000)) to determine branching. InfoPath integration is a bonus but not required. Anyone have any good links with solid tutorials? Thanks in advance.

Workflow "Error Occurred" Message

Hi, We have upgraded a VS 2008 custom workflow in our production environment but we are now seeing an "Error Occurred" message when starting in one site that the workflow is activated on.ÃÂ It works fine on another site.ÃÂ Permissions DID NOT change for users on this site before or after or during the upgrade of the workflow. It works fine in our test environment. How can I troubleshoot this in production environment (I cannot debug)? Can somebody give me a definite answer on what are the required permissions to give user to allow them to start workflows and edit only their own Tasks?ÃÂ I have asked this question on a number of forums with no definitive answer.

Error Occured during workflow

Hi, i have created a workflow using VS2010 and deployed in SP2010 but while running the workflow its giving me a status message " ERROR OCCURED" my scenario is : once we upload a document in library it should be copy to another site's or sub site's document library. can i create a workflow using SPD2010 for this requirement? let me know if anybody have answer. thanks share2010
