Could not load file or assembly '' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime

Hi!

I'm trying to use resource files added to App_GlobalResources and geting the following error.

The framework is 4.0. The application uses DotNetNuke cms.

Intellisense sees the properties in the WebApplicationResources class corresponding lines in WebApplicationResources.resx

I cannot reproduce the error in the simple test website.

Do you have any ideas how to fix it?

Hi all,

I have searched a lot in google, but could not find the same scenario i am facing.

I have a asp.net 3.5 web application, which use ajax toolkits. Also, I am impersonating the logged active directory users to connect sql server with their own windows credential. Everything fine, but sometimes, I am getting the error "Could not load file or assembly 'Ajaxcontroltoolkit' or one of its dependencies. Access denied". If I republish the site, the error will go. I dont know which cause to this error?

Any solution would be highly appreciated.

I have the following projects in a solution :

- A Web Application

- A Class Library

- A Web Deployment project

The Web Application compiles and run fine when I don't go through the Web Deployment Project. However when I try to use that, I get the following error:

"An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for hibernate-configuration: Could not load file or assembly 'NHibernate' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (F:\Folke\Folke.csproj_deploy\Release\web.config line 4)"

This is the beginning of my Web.config:

My Winform applilcation has used Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Common namespace(assembly :Microsoft.Sqlserver.smo.dll/Microsoft.Sqlserver.ConnectionInfo.dll) and developed in .NET 4.0.
Problem:Application is throw an exception when it tries to use above assembly reference methods. Full error text is shown below,
"Mixed mode assembly is built against version 'v2.0.50727' of the runtime and cannot be loaded in the 4.0 runtime without additional configuration information. "
Error is resolved when we include "app.config" file with below code,

But, I need to keep configuration file as "renamed.config" and not to include app.config file as of the project requirement.I have set configuration file as "renamed.config" file using below code,

I have also included <Startup> element in this "renamed.config" configuration file and removed the app.config file.But it raise me below error, it always expect app.config file with <Startup> element to resolve this iss
