Problem with incoming mail to SharePoint Library - what is wrong with this?

I configured my incoming mail to a SharePoint 2010 library according to these instructions. http://intellects.in/2010/04/04/configuring-sharepoint-2010-document-libraries-with-exchange-server-2010-to-receive-mails-from-internalexternal-world/ I'm able to receive mail at the Exchange mailbox set up for the document library, but am unable to receive the document in the library itself.  I'm thinking it's because I have a problem with my naming - but I'm not sure how to solve it: I have a SharePoint box and an Exchange box. I've configured the SMTP virtual server with default domain of  server.domain.com .  I've also assigned it an alias of domain2.net I've configured incoming email in SharePoint Central Administration to use the address of mylist@domain2.net so that users can have a friendly url for sending documents to lists and libraries. I've created an Attended Domain in Exchange 2010 and set up an email address policy that speicifes all mailboxes receive an domain2.net address.  I have an MX record for the domain2.net address with a DNS server pointing to the Exchange box. I've created an SMTP Send Connector that points to the FQDN server.domain.com of my virtual server on my SharePoint box. With that connector, I've chosen to route mail through the same FQDN of server.domain.com , that of my SharePoint/IIS SMTP Virtual Server box. When I confi

SharePoint Search returns wrong date

Hi i am running a Sharepoint 2010 enterprise search indexing a file folder structure with emails(.eml) and attachments(.doc(x), pdf, xls(x), ...). The search results shows a date like first full index time or something like that, but not the date of file creation or any other attributes of the file. My questions: - what may be the reason of the wrong date? - is there a possibility use another attribute for displaying that is more relevante? Please help Kind regards Werner Durrer

When I try to access SharePoint Designer 2010, I am repeatedly prompted to enter my credentials. I am running on a Windows 7 64 bit machine (in "Developer mode"). I select the designer from the home page from the site actions menu. Silverlight 3 White screen

Hello, I need your creativity and experience for troubleshooting an issue with Silverlight 3. I don’t have any more idea as I already tried. Maybe some of you have experience with the same problem and can give me useful tips. This scenario is present: I have a Silverlight 3 application which uses WCF Services to access data. My customers don’t have problem to use this Silverlight App in their company intranet to administer the web-application. The application is using WCF for CRUD operations. Now, a new customer can’t use this app. The Silverlight application hosting ASPX-Page loads fine, also and the plugin instantiate correctly (a mouse right click shows the Silverlight Plugin-Properties) but instead of my app is a blank - “white screen”. This screen appears without Silverlight-Loader, Javascript error or other error messages. Do you have an idea what happen? I tried several solutions to fix this. As first I checked the IIS header mime-type. I change this from “.xap application/x-silverlight-app” to “”.xap application/octet-stream” and back. No changes. The Second, I tried, was to clean up the HTML page. I removed all CSS definitions and used only on div tag in the asp.net form tag definition. Also no changes. My customer used a different browser as the IE8 and also in Firefox same issue. Firwall and Virus Sc

Sharepoint date calculations = WRONG

Can someone show me how to create a calculated column that displays the date only? I'm using the microsoft absence planner. I am simply trying to display a date without the time. I'm getting inconsistent results. Someone suggested that I simply add a day but that is not consistent. I created a calcualted column to show me the day that Sharepoint thinks the time value has. The results are disappointing to say the least someone suggested this formula since it seems to be always off by a day: StartDate is a calculated column = =DATE(YEAR([Start Time]),MONTH([Start Time]),DAY([Start Time]+1)) *sometimes this formula displays the right info, sometimes not The last column is just = Day_[Start Time] so I can try and figure out what is going on :( Attendance item      System Account      Other      6/28/2010 12:00 AM      6/29/2010      28 Attendance item      System Account      Jury Duty      9/29/2009 12:00 AM      9/30/2009      29 Attendance item      System Account      Jury Duty      9/29/2009 12:00 AM      9/30/2009 &nbs

Passing credentials from Sharepoint application to Reporting Server

Hi, Think of an environment where SSRS is deployed in share point integrated mode. There is a sharepoint application which is using user authentication (not windows authentication) for validating the login credentials of users using the application. There are some reports presented as web parts in the sharepoint application. Now, how should the user credentials be passed from Sharepoint application to Reporting services and how should they be validated? How the user credentials from sharepoint to be passed to report server and validate the permissions before showing up the report? Please let me know.  Phani Note: Please mark the post as answered if it answers your question.

SharePoint 2010 Export list Items to Excel, wrong url in iqy file

Hi, I have a SharePoint 2010 Environment that uses https://portal.<something>.com. Exporting to Excel of a list uses wrong URL. When I go to the a list, select the list to show the "office ribbon" and then select export to excel, excel will show the error "Excel cannot connect to the SharePoint List". When I take a look at the IQY file that is created it contains the wrong url: http://portal.<something>.com instead of https://portal.<something>.com Changing the URL in the IQY file manualy to https://portal.<something>.com and then opening it will excel is working fine, list data is exported to excel then. Alternate access mapping is configured to use https://portal.<something>.com as default, export to access is working normaly. I already deleted the http://portal.<something>.com alternate access mapping once to see if this fixes the problem. No fix, even not after IISreset or rebooting the server. Where or how is the export to Excel IQY file created and where is it possible to fix the URL it is putting in the IQY file? Grtz, Arjan

Server 2003 prompting for credentials when connection to Sharepoint document library via UNC

Hi all

I have a sharepoint document library http://mycompany/sites/documentLibrary. When browsing to this site through Internet Explorer on a terminal server I can get to the site without being prompted for a username and password, which is what I want. The site appears as "local intranet"  according to IE.

When browsing to the UNC path \\mycompany\sites\documentLibrary we are being prompted for a username and password. After putting in the credentials the document library displays. I need for the server to be able to access the site via UNC path without being prompted for credentials as we have several in house applications relying on doing so

The funny thing is this was working until recently. What's changed? I have no idea. I have an almost identical terminal server on the same subnet/OS/windows patch level that allows access without prompting for a username or password, and the only thing I had to do for that server was enable the web client service..

Things I have tried so far:

- Checked the Web Client service is enabled, started and set to automatic. Restarted the server just to make sure.
- Added http://mycompany, \\mycompany etc to the trusted zone.
- Set the truste
