I have a HyperlinkField and I am trying to tell it what the Link is by doing this statement:

List does not exist -- AutoStart Workflow: System.NullReferenceException:

I have been in a discussion on the MSDN forums concerning a site with which I am having considerable issues.  (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointdevelopment/thread/0feaf4c7-77cd-46c6-b3cd-4d18c69b18c3)    There is one issue that keeps cropping on one of the pages on that site.  The page is a customization of the EditForm.aspx which is being used to edit folders. We call it EditFolderForm.  Like the EditForm it uses a DataFormWebPart.  It also has a SharePoint:SaveButton  and a SharePoint:GoBackButton.  The Listid on the page has been confirmed to be the correct ListID.  Clicking the SaveButton causes the following two errors:

List does not exist  The page you selected contains a list that does not exist.

and then

AutoStart Workflow: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I have found references that mentioned getting these messages for custom made workflows that are built on Designer.  However the workflow being called is a built in SharePoint Workflow so that none of the suggested fixes will work.  (Also it seems that the workflows that cause the issue seem to be sending

System.NullReferenceException

 SET UP

I have an obout.grid (me.gridsettings1) on a user control that loaded onto a aspx page.

Within a method on the user control, I run thru selected records like this..to get a data item , thats is an integer.

    Private Function getSelectedRowUserGroupID() As Integer
        Dim s As Integer
        If Me.gridSettings1.SelectedRecords.Count > 0 Then 'HERE
            For Each rec As Hashtable In Me.gridSettings1.SelectedRecords
                s = CInt(rec("UserGroupID").ToString)
            Next
            Me.gridSettings1.SelectedRecords.Clear()
        End If
        Return s
    End Function

 It works fine for about 1 or 2 times then asp.net throws up this error : System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

for line marked "HERE

So it telling me it cant find the control on on the ascx/aspx page, but its there fine ?

Any ideas...

Reuse XAML Declarative Workflow in Workflow Service (xamlx) Results in Server Error of System.Argume

We attempted to reuse a XAML (declarative activity workflow) in a few places within the same XAMLX and it doesn't appear to allow this.   On the WCF client side, it reported an obscure error of something to the effect of unknown message received and a communication error stating the service instance couldn't be used at this time and to ensure the call order is correct or order delivery guarantee is enabled.   However, this appears to mask the true issue which is on the server side.   Apparently, when the server side WCF end point is trying to start the workflow instance, it throws this error building a dictionary of workflow children...

Problem with FormsAuthentication.Signout()

I have a WCF method, called from a Silverlight application that makes a call to FormAuthentication.Signout().  I can watch this function being called in the debugger (and in Fiddler), but the AUTHCOOKIE is never cleared.  I can still see it in Fiddler.  I have added No-Cache attributes to my login page and my page hosting the silverlight application.  I know that my forms authentication is set up correctly because if I exit out of IE, then go back in, I get the expected behavior (redirected to login page when attempting to access directories secured by Form Authentication).  This happens because I have set the cookie to Not Persist and it is cleared when I exit the browser.  As soon as I log in though and get the Auth Cookie, I can't ever seem to get logged out.

Here is some more info on my scenario.  I have a ASP.NET 4.0 Web application that is hosting a Silverlight app.  If the user is idle for 20 minutes, I want to log them out.  When the 20 minutes are up, I make a call to my WCF method mentioned above (FormsAuthentication.Signout()) to clear their Auth cookie.  What I am finding is that if I "refresh" the page they are on, I can go to any page that requires authorization.  They never seem to actually be "signed out".

I've added all this code to both my login page and page host

.NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting event id 5000 system.nullreferenceexception

I only found http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=389835&SiteID=17 regarding this error message and it was of no help to me.

Background: 3rd party program that extracts users from a AD group and manage user creation i a MSSQL 2000 server. Also sends e-mails using the SMTP service. The funny thing is that the program manages everything correctly, but writes an error in the Event log as it exists (below). Job is scheduled with the SQL server agent and runs with a doamin user that has local admin rights. We have the same setup on a testserver where it runs without problems.

Windows server 2003, MDAC 2.8, SQL Server 2000 SP3, .NET framework 2 on both servers.

Hi all,

System Development Life Cycle

The Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a conceptual model used in project management that describes the stages involved in an information system development project from an initial feasibility study through maintenance of the completed application. Various SDLC methodologies have been developed to guide the processes involved including the waterfall model (the original SDLC method), rapid application development (RAD), joint application development (JAD), the fountain model and the spiral model. Mostly, several models are combined into some sort of hybrid methodology
