Button on application page not redirecting correctly

I have a customized SharePoint application page which has a Button control like:

<wssuc:ButtonSection runat="server">
		    <asp:Button ID="BtnOK" runat="server"
Code behind:
protected void BtnOk_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
      // do stuff

When I click on the OK, it redirects correctly to the previous page. But the Cancel button on click redirects to site collection root.

So my question is, how do I control the redirect of the Cancel button? Also, I don't see any other button on the aspx page for the Cancel?

Need help redirecting users to personalized page

 Hi, first timer here so be gentle.

I've been able to create a cool little website, it's up and running with users logging in and out, I created roles so my administrative team can see sensitive data that's not available to regular and anonymous users.

Now they would like me to create a page specific to each user.  For instance when user A logs in they are redirected to a page that has information that pertains to user A only (like a list of their benefits/ their remaining vacation time). This page needs to be accessible only to user A.

I've watched a ton of the videos but have yet to see one that covers this topic, any help would be great!!!

Category attribute of user control property does not work correctly in categories tab.

I have a User Control (ascx) and a property which a want to display in my categories tab in Visual Studio in the category named "Styles".

[Category("Styles"), DefaultValue(""), Description("The value for formating something.")]
public String MyFormatProperty
set { /* the code for set */; }
get { /* the code for get */; }

And here is the problem: Actually I do not need a get, because I only have to set the property (write only property). But when I omit the get, the property is displayed in the "Misc" category in the categories tab in Visual Studio. Only when I code the get as well, then the property is displayed correctly in the "Styles" category in the categories tab in Visual Studio.

Does anybody know why? How can I display the category correctly only with set?

Thanks, S.

Property of a base UserControl it's not handled correctly

Hello,I have a class that is a base class for my server controls. Inside this class I have a property that can take values from an enumeration.public enum PanelModeEnum { Add = 1, Edit = 2, ReadOnly = 3 } public class BaseControl : System.Web.UI.UserControl { #region Event Handling Management #endregion public PanelModeEnum PanelMode { get; set; } public virtual void ChangePanelMode(PanelModeEnum newMode) { this.PanelMode = newMode; } } I have then several user controls that inherits from this BaseControl and that I add into aspx pages declaratively<gsl:PhoneNumberUC ID="ucPhoneDetail" runat="server" PhoneNumberType="Home" />I would like to show one the derived BaseControl classes inside a ModalPopupExtender using server-side code. Before doing this I call the ChangePanelMode with a value from the PanelModeEnumucPhoneDetail.PhoneNumberType = ptype; ucPhoneDetail.ChangePanelMode(PanelModeEnum.Add); this.mpePopupPhone.Show(); But when, inside the inherited user control I check for the PanelMode property likeif (this.PanelMode == PanelModeEnum.Add) { ... } the value of this.PanelMode is always equal to zero. Why?Kindly regards

My repeating table did not open/load correctly

In my browser-enabled form I am using a webservice to get data from one look up table in my database. The table consists of two columns (ProdId and ProdDescription). In order to allow the user to select more than one products, I bind  this data to a repeating table where the productId column converted from a check box to a checkbox instead. So every row of this repeating table have a checkbox in the first column so the user can make selection and a textbox in the second column to list the Product Description. When the user open/load the existing form where multiple selection was made to the repeating table none of the checkboxs were checked. I have no idea how to go about to fix this issue and i can use some help. So far i have not use any codes for my form so i would like to stay codeless and using rules instead. Thank you in advance.

C# .NET SqlBulkCopy and redirecting error rows

I am using SqlBulkCopy within a Script Task to extract data from an Oracle server into SQL Server. Is there a way to redirect error rows with code or otherwise from the SqlBulkCopy? I have implemented this before using a regular Copy Column task and redirecting the Destination Error into a different table of all data type varchar. So I am trying to make something similar with the script task and SqlBulkCopy. Any suggestions? ThanksYou are so wise...like a miniature budha covered in fur. -Anchorman

Microsoft ListView Control 6.0 cannot correctly display multibyte characters when running on a 64 bi

With all the regional settings set to Russian and the OS being Russion the ListView Control 6.0 does not display the column headers correctly on the Windows Server 2008 64 bit OS. If we switch to using Microsoft ListView Control, version 5 the columns (text strings) are displayed correctly. I am concerned that using an earlier version is going to cause problems. Is there a better solution other than using version 5? Thanks!

I want 404 instead of redirecting to login page

I have implemented the standard Login control and everything works fine.However when i enter an invalid URL it gets redirected to the Login page.e.g. http://www.mywebsite.com/xxx gives a 404but http://www.mywebsite.com/xxx.aspx causes a redirect to the login pageI am using ASP.NET 3.5 on Windows Server 2008.I have set up the web.config with the following<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="/Unauthenticated/GenericErrorPage.htm"> <error statusCode="403" redirect="/Unauthenticated/NoAccess.htm" /> <error statusCode="404" redirect="/Unauthenticated/FileNotFound.htm" /> <error statusCode="500" redirect="/Unauthenticated/FileNotFound.htm" /></customErrors>and also<httpErrors existingResponse="Replace"> <remove statusCode="403" /> <remove statusCode="404" /> <remove statusCode="500" /> <error statusCode="403" path="/Unauthenticated/NoAccess.htm" responseMode="Redirect" /> <error statusCode="404" path="/Unauthenticated/FileNotFound.htm" responseMode="Redirect" /> <error statusCode="500" path="/Unauthenticated/FileNotFound.htm" responseMode="Redirect"

Redirecting a view doesn't work

I have the following class that I have all my controllers inherit from:  using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Diagnostics.CodeAnalysis; using System.Linq; using System.Security.Principal; using System.Web; using System.Web.Mvc; using System.Web.Routing; using System.Web.Security; using LMWebUI.Models; using LMWebUI.Components; namespace LMWebUI.Controllers { public class BaseController : Controller { private UserSettings _currentUser = null; private HttpContextBase _currentContext = null; public UserSettings CurrentUser { get { if (_currentUser == null) _currentUser = UserHelper.GetUser(_currentContext); return _currentUser; } } public string CurrentController { get { return Utility.LastSplit(ToString(), '.'); } } public void SaveUser() { UserHelper.SaveSettings(this.HttpContext, CurrentUser); } protected override void Execute(RequestContext requestContext) { _currentContext = requestContext.HttpContext; if (Utility.FixNull(requestContext.HttpContext.Request.QueryString["noScript"], "") == "true") { CurrentUser.ScriptingMode = UserSettings.ScriptMode.NoScript; } else { if (CurrentUser.ScriptingMode == UserSettings.ScriptMode.ScriptDetection && Utility.ReadCookie(requestContext.HttpContext.Request.Cookies, "HasScri

Redirecting default.aspx to root virtual directory

I have a simple ASP.NET 3.5 application running under IIS7 under a virtual directory. So the URL of my app is like http://site.com/app. I want to 301-redirect the request to site.com/app/default.aspx to site.com/app for better SEO. I have to do this redirect through code only, not by any IIS settings. I am unable to do so via code mentioned in this article:http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/072810-1.aspxThe code:if (request.RawUrl.Equals("/default.aspx")) { newUrl = string.Format("{0}://{1}{2}", request.Url.Scheme, request.Url.Authority, request.RawUrl.Remove(request.RawUrl.LastIndexOf("/default.aspx", StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase))); context.Response.Status = "301 moved permanently"; context.Response.AddHeader("Location", newUrl); } seems to go into an infinite loop when the application is under a virtual directory. the request.RawUrl property always returns "/default.aspx" even after a 301 redirect causing the infinite loop. How can I fix this issuhttp://forums.asp.net/AddPost.aspx?ForumID=27e?

Count of fact rows not being displayed correctly

I have the most generic measure - count of rows from the fact table. When I query the underlying fact table, example...select count(Primary_key) , I get accurate results. Also, I see my partition has exact same count for the rows. But, when I process the cube and view the same measure in the browser it shows less than the actual count . I never had this problem before. What could I be missing? I would appreciate your suggestions.   Rok

Trouble getting my back/forward buttons to work correctly

My program has 4 pages that have session variables on each page and they are retrieved on the 4th and final page then submitted to a database when the submit button is clicked. When i was testing my program i filled out all 4 pages and then clicked back to refill-in something on a previous page and all my information wasn't filled out anymore. So i added the code in the page load sub btnBack.Attributes.Add("onClick", "javascript:history.back(); return false;") and this cured that problem so i could click back and the data would still be filled out. Then i saw a new problem....after i went back to fix something on previous pages 1 and 2, i would click the next button to go forward to pages 3 and 4 that i've already started filling out and now the data on those pages were cleared. So how do i make it so that the information from the whole program stays filled out whether i go back and forth from the 1st page to the 4th until i click submit on the 4th page? I have searched everywhere on the internet and cannot find a solution

Cannot make use of the Merge Task correctly

Hi All, I'm Testing the Merge Task and here is the situation I have two sources one is an SQL  table CREATE TABLE MyTable ( Identifier INT NOT NULL IDENTITY(1,1), Content NVARCHAR(20) )  the other one is a flat file that has content suitable to that above tabe, For the SQL table I used an OLE DB Source and I specify a sql command to retrieve the data, the sql commad is as follow:  SELECT     Identifier, Content FROM         dbo.MergeTable ORDER BY Identifier, Content As you can see the command sorts the data. In the other side (The flat file) I added a sort transorm that recieves data fom that flat file and I configured that sort task to sort data exactly like the ole db one. Now the problem is when I tie the both inputs to the merge task then this last one still raise the error Error 4 Validation error. Data Flow Task Merge [923]: The input is not sorted. The "input "Merge Input 1" (924)" must be sorted.   DlmCustomer.dtsx 0 0  Inspite of the fact that the ole db source data specifie a command that sort data??? Thank you   The complexity resides in the simplicity
