Sending a File Using Email Helper in WebPages/Razor

Note: This is particularly with respect to Email Helper in WebPages/Razor. Please don't post links using System.Net.Mail object.

Following this tutorial: http://www.asp.net/webmatrix/tutorials/9-adding-email-to-your-website

Under "Sending a File Using Email" section what exactly is the code trying to do.

1: The SendFile.cshtml does not have any option to select file.

2: ProcessFile.cshtml is running fine. I am getting the email but no attachement.

I tried changing fileAttachment input to type="file" but not file is being sent to my email. I just get the message send in body.

Question: How exactly this file attachment works using Email Helper in WebPages.

Sending Email by exeucting a stored proc on SQL Server that references CLR

Hi Guys, I want to modify the data type of the @body variable in the stored procedure that sends an email. The stored procedure is as follows:   CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[spSendMail4]<br/> @recipients [nvarchar](4000),<br/> @cc [nvarchar](4000),<br/> @subject [nvarchar](4000),<br/> @from [nvarchar](4000), @body [nvarchar](4000), @attachment [nvarchar](4000)<br/> WITH EXECUTE AS CALLER<br/> AS <br/> EXTERNAL NAME [SMTPCLR].[StoredProcedure].[spSendMail]<br/> GO   I want to change the @body variable to data type: text. However, you can include a graphic in your message by using the HTML image tag (<img/>) to link to an image that is stored as a JPEG (.jpg) file and uploaded to a picture library in your site. In the body of your message, in the location where you want the linked image to appear, type the <img src=""/> HTML tag. Position the insertion point between the two double quotation marks (""). Sending an email with a link that verifies an id in sql server

I have an online job application program that the user fills out and submits the information to our database and on the last page they give there email address so that we can send them an email that has a link that is associated with the ID that's autogenerated by the sql server database when the user submits the information, when the link is clicked it verifies to the database to keep the information submitted by that user per their autogenerated ID. Below is the code that i've written to send the email I have the link setup to go to yahoo right now but I am not sure how to get this to send the autogenerated link that is associated with the ID that is autogenerated already in my sql server database.Private Sub SendMail()        Dim emailSender As SmtpClient        Dim theMessage As MailMessage        Dim EmailAddress As String = txtEmailAddress.Text        emailSender = New System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient("ppicom")        theMessage = New MailMessage        theMessage. From = New MailAddress("PeerlessProductsInc @mail.com")        theMessage.To.Add(EmailAddress)        theMessage.

sending automatic email

Hi,I need to write a stored procedure to schedule a job that will send automatic email to customers based on some condition as follows:1. I have two tables. One table is table1 like the following: Name Date1  Date2 Date3 Rahim, Khan 29'10 30'11 25'08 Karim,Abedin 12'10 28'11 26'09 Fahad, Alam 26'10 12'11 25'10 Another Table is table 2 like the following: Name Email Rahim,Khan rahim@yahoo.com Karim,Abedin karim@yahoo.com Fahad, Alam falam@yahoo.com In table 1 the date format is in format where 30'11 mean work week is 30 and 11 means last two digits of the year.2. Now , I need to write a stored procedure that will check :a) What is current work week and current year? b) It will then determine the difference between the current work week (now 37) and work week mentioned in date (Date1, Date2 and Date3) columns from table1 and if for current year(it's 2010) at least one difference in each row is>=8 then it should send an automatic email to the corresponding email address of Name column using the relation between Table1 and table2. For example: For first record in Table1 the three difference is: 37-29=8, 37-30=7 and 37-25=12. There are two differences >=8, but only first difference is for year 2010 and third one is not for current year. But, since at least one difference in this row satisfies condition
