My company needs to find a solution for the very often SQL Server 2005 installation issues related to XML 6. We are trying to find an automatic way to detect and fix XML issues during our software installation and before the SQL installation without any
user interaction - we know that MSICUU2.exe can handle it but we need a solution without the user having to run it manually.
What we have come with is that we want to ALWAYS uninstall XML 6 and re-install it. We can use Windows Installer to do that, but if XML 6 is corrupt it won't work. So we need to find how MSICUU2.exe works and uninstalls XML 6 properly when Windows Installer
cannot do it. OR we need to run MSICUU2.exe in the background and uninstall XML 6, but I'm not sure if that is possible.
So, do you know how to properly and completely uninstall XML 6? Or do you know how to run MSICUU2.exe with command line to find only and always XML 6 and uninstall it?
