New Data does not show in DVWP

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 26, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

I have two web parts on the page. The left one has regions listed. Clicking on a region hte right web part (DVWP) displays the data about that region (sales, etc.).

Everything works as expected. Now, I added a region. And the new region does not show up. The regions are in an SP list. I am using SP 2003 and SPD 2007.

I can see the new region data in a standard view or a datasheet view.

Can someone please help? Thanks much.

Unable to Show Edit item Links in Data Form Web Part

I have a DFWP connected to custom list and the boxes to Show Edit Item Links, Show Delete item links and Show Insert Item links are grayed out so that they can not be checked. This works fine when I use a DFWP connected to a standard list (i.e., Contacts). Is there something special that needs to be done to activate this functionality?ThanksDean

Assembly items don't show in SSIS Data Flow

I successfully add a new assembly (MapPoint Batch Geocoder.dll) into GAC using Mscorcfg.msc and I can see it from the assembly list and I've added the dll into SSIS's PipelineComponents folder but for some reason I just cannot see it from SSIS Data Flow Item tab, I saw some others have the similar issue, and I actually tried to fix it based on their solutions such as change the framework version, but nothing changed. I am using VS2008, .NET 3.5 framework. I don't understand how come I can see it from GAC and also can see it through .NET tab in "Add References" but just not from Data Flow Item tab? Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Show all in BDC data item picker by default

I have one ADF where it actually, by default when opening, show all 5 items without having to enter any filter criteria, which is great!  I'm trying to reproduce it for another project and cannot for the life of me do it again and it's driving me crazy.  I'm sure I'm missing something, but not sure what it might be and have spent hours comparing the two files for any elements, attributes that I might be missing without success.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Site Web Analytics reports and Site Collection Web Analytics reports show no data

Although I have enabled all the web analytics and health data collection option and can see that usage data files are being created both my Site Web and Site Collection analytics reports show no activity. I have checked the Sharepoint 2010 documentation and it basically states only thing to do is enable the respective option under the 'Configure web analytics and health data collection' section.

Data View that handles both a Filter and "Show All"

I had a nice search facility up and running that filtered SQL data displayed in a Data View via a "contains" Filter clause on an entered string.

Pesky users now request a "Show All" button as well to display all data in the Data View.  For the life of me I cannot get this up and running - anybody got a tip/pointer?  I can't figure a combination of Filter criteria that would allow this.
